Great product, NOT cheap at all!!!
Even though I am a physical therapist, years of strenuous studying, computer work, manual labor with patients, and being very active, my posture was not the best. This brace is very well made, the straps that are adjustable are velcro which would seem to not be very rigid or strong but are completely just those things. The whole concept is about proprioception (in this case, the sense of feeling on the muscles and joints and the brain's awareness of that sensitivity), so it really is a reminder to hold your posture more upright. If you slouchy too much it will cut into under your underarms, which you will definitely notice. Being aware of my posture with any type of work or movement (computer, physical, walking around) is so key, and this brace has given me the jump start to get getting back to a good posture and pain free back. I also have impingement in my left shoulder which has led me to guard it and roll it forward so while my muscles have been sore at points from manipulating them, this brace has also helped even out my imbalances left vs. right. Along with appropriate stretching and strengthening, this brace has been a life saver. I wore it for 5 days (1 work week) for 9-10 hours then intermittently for a few days as needed (only while at home or running errands where I can wear a sweatshirt over it). I wear a t-shirt under it for sure. I am fortunate to wear scrubs to work and can wear a zip up hoodie so that's how I hide it, not sure if it could be worn under a work shirt or something thinner. While wearing it (especially while running errands), I try and not carry a purse, which can cause poor posture anyways. Because there is somewhat of a force pushing your shoulders down and back, your chest and front shoulder muscles will overwork themselves trying to keep a purse balanced on your shoulder, therefore throwing everything off and believe me you'll feel it. I am SO glad I found this and it is extremely well made, durable, and worth the price. Uncomfortable? Yes a little, but I would trade the pain, weakness, burning, headaches, and all the horrible pain I was experiencing before, for the tiny bit of discomfort any day!! Size M was perfect for me, I am 5'4" 125 lbs. 34/36B bust with a small rib cage. Thank you EquiFit so much!!! Sometimes even the healers need someone else to help heal them :)

It Works.
This item does exactly what it says. It corrects posture by holding your shoulders back. However, here are the issues you need to know before purchasing the product. First, it does start to come apart almost on first use. The reason for this is because the velcro is sewn to the straps, but the straps are elastic so the sewing doesn't hold very well. It fit me perfectly, but i am a 5'11" male with a 32 inch waist. So if you are much bigger, it may be too small. Second, it does put pressure on your shoulders, so i wouldn't recommend using if you will be doing much physical labor because it starts to move and ride your underarms. Like others have said, it may be better to put a t shirt under the product so it doesn't pull so much. Also, it gets uncomfortable after about 2 hours, but in that time, it kind of "trains" you to hold your shoulders back. I would recommend using 3 times a day at 2 hours each until you can get comfortable wearing it longer. My problem was that i spent a lot of time in front of a computer and after a while, i would tend to start slumping forward to the point i was completely slumped over. This product was enough to stop me from doing that and now it is just a habit to sit straight after using the posture support. Hope this helps in your decision.

Not as breathable as other options
I have shoulder problems, so I've tried a lot of these. Here are some that I've tried, listed in order of price:Generic Shoulder Support Band Belt Brace Corrector - Doesn't do much other than irritate your armpits and cut off circulation.Generic Support Belt Band Posture Corrector Brace (L) - Actually not too bad, although the pull on your shoulders is a little light.Duro-Med Posture Corrector, White, Medium-Large - The stitching makes this one pretty uncomfortable against the skin. Over clothing might be ok. Digs into your armpits slightly. The velcro catches against clothing if you leave it exposed.Oppo Medical Elastic Posture Aid /Clavicle Brace (Unisex; Natural), X-Large - Actually comfortable against the skin. Slight digging under the arms, but not that bad. I can wear it most of the day.Posture Corrector Wireless Back Support Bra- Leonisa - Most comfortable out of all these, wearable all day. Pull is a little light though. Discreet under clothing, can't tell it's there unless you have a really thin shirt.EquiFit Shouldersback Posture Support Lite Medium Black - Somewhat comfortable against skin, but several areas of stitching dig in. Slight digging under the arms, but only a little more than the Oppo. The velcro is more sensibly designed than the Duro-Med. The triangle back area is a little less breathable than the other options, though.

Not effective
Compared with other physio aids this did not work as effectively. But to be fair - the product is labelled "light" which weight wise it appears so.However, even with it being "light" - it was uncomfortable and and barely gave any support. The fastenings aren't smoothed down nicely so the shoulder straps will be obviousI was tempted to make the purchase as it was black and most brands don't come in blackIf you do require a support - try the Oppo brand. Their posture aid works very well - it just doesn't come in the color I require
