Sport Brella Umbrella (Green)

We now own two of these - so loved the convenience of the first that we got a second to place next to the original to double the covered space for larger family gatherings. Sooo very easy to set up, great inner pockets (which we use as weights with sand on windy beach days, the stakes that come with it are great. no need to dig holes, doesn't evert in strong winds, and the windows on both sides are fantastic!It's open enough to allow breezes, sets up in about 5 minutes, and can be rotated easily to move with the sun. Family members have gone out and purchased one once they saw ours, and we get quite a few compliments and questions whenever we set it up!

I love the design and ease of using the sportbrella as opposed to a regular umbrella BUT The first time we used it the screw stripped the hole and will not hold the umbrella upright. The support center piece that the screw screws in to came completely off the umbrella and we had to retrieve the part from the sand. Because of this occurance we can only use the sportbrella in one position. I have considered asking the manufacturer to send us another center piece that holds the screw.Super Brella Beach Umbrella

We bought two of these umbrellas to bring to the ocean beach on vacation in Maryland. They are well made, and held fast in the sand of the windy beach. We used them in both the shelter position as well as a regular beach umbrella. In the shelter position, they offered excellent shady protection from the sun and blowing sand but still allowed ventilation and a nice breeze. Very easy to put up, take down, and re-position. They went back into their carrying bags nicely. The ONLY NEGATIVE comment is that some of the metal parts (grommets and clip springs) rusted in the salty air. Would have preferred those parts be made of brass for those of us who use them in the ocean air. Other than that, they worked great for us.

I don't know realllly how long it will last before it busts a seam or breaks or something, but it survived about 20 trips to the beach and back last summer. I have a few little gripes like the shoulder strap on the nylon bag ripped on the second trp, I did go out and get some better pegs (big orange ones that can be found at home depot, or at bass pro) to hold the lines down. But really it's great to use, provides nice shelter and shade, and it's very easy to set up and take down.

I purchased this back in 2013. I've only used it 3 or 4 times. (My normal beach trips consist of a couple hours first thing in the morning, so this was just for the rare social beach trip where I'd be sitting out there all day.) Last weekend I brought it out at the beach and the wind not only inverted it but metal bars flew off in various directions like some ridiculous shrapnel grenade.Seeing how weak these really are I cannot recommend them. I feel like the company has vastly oversold their quality.As a relevant side note I will add that the umbrella was kept clean and indoors other than the times it was in use. There is no rusty or deterioration that could have led to this.Just an overpriced umbrella being touted as way better than the real quality.

We live in Miami, and we go to the beach nearly every weekend. We have been through many umbrellas, tents, canopies, etc. They all broke from wind or sand, and failed to provide adequate sun protection. The sport brella is AMAZING. Easy to set up, creates huge shade area, never blows away, never damaged by sand, and doesn't get hot and muggy inside like a tent. People ask us about it constantly. We gave 2 to my father-in-law, and we have been using ours for over a year.

We are a soccer family living in a very sunny state so shade is a must. We finally broke down and bought one of these umbrellas after using large golf umbrellas and a 10x10 pop up for the last two seasons. I am so glad we did! It is a great umbrella so far. Love the size and how small it breaks down to carry easily. I did buy an umbrella stand with metal stakes for it as we travel all of the state and the ground hardness varies so much. It's easy to pop it up and put in the stand then I don't worry about breaking off the tip of the umbrella.

we got the extra large,and checked it out on our living room...it is huge, almost like a camping tent! looks very promising,and we LOVE the fact that you just open it up and you're all set! no more assembling those sun shade tents that would take a half hour to figure out. we've got one of those,and we weren't happy,my husband got a sun burn after a while. our only issue was the the little screw for the hidden pole/stake. it got stuck at some point and wouldn't turn anymore, so the hubby resorted to a wrench which helped turn it until the inner pole was released. then we noticed the screw was a little damaged,so we might not put it all the way in,just enough so the pole won't accidentally slide out and drop on our feet. other than that, we're excited to try it at the beach soon! will post an update once we've actually used it...
