Paint your Own Single Unfinished Wooden Nesting Doll 6.75 Inches

The wood is great the paints need more of but it is ok

I recently purchased and received my new 6.75" Single Unpainted Blank Wooden Russian Nesting Doll with 5 Paints Set DIY Craft. I ordered this for my daughter, who is obsessed with crafting and with Russian nesting dolls....so I knew it's be a hit! Unfortunately, when the product arrived the bottom half of the doll was broken and there were shards of wood sticking out. I was impressed that the wood was thick though and that the set came with paints and a paintbrush. Had it arrived in a safe and usable condition I most likely would have given it four stars. I personally feel the price is a bit steep for a single unfinished doll, hence why I would have only given it four stars instead of five. The size is great, but sadly, it didn't arrive with paint or paintbrush as it said.

I thought this would be a fun art project to do and while I can paint it the quality is not the best. The doll does not have a seamless closure there is a strange unevenness and the seam around the top piece sticks out. While I like the idea of making my own Russian doll I do not like the quality of this product. Also it would be better if it was a complete set; since it is one Russian doll it is a little strange.I purchased this product at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
