Great inspiring film
This is a very inspiring movie not because it’s about a boy who saw heaven and it’s preaching you to believe in god or anything.[...]I don’t go to church anymore since I was 20 because I don’t believe in church anymore. I truly believe in god and I will always but I don’t believe in church anymore.People make all kinds of sins from Monday to Saturday and go to church saying I am sorry and go back to their houses and make some more sins. It just goes on and on and on and on.They gathered and talk about their family stuff, talk about their mother in laws, mostly bad words. If you don’t believe in god you go to hell.Simple as that. If that is all true, then your god is dead.I just don’t believe all that. If you live an honest life, help each other, have some donations, mostly your time(money is nothing) no sins, do good all the time I think that is enough. Going to heaven or hell is the next thing. This movie is about a boy who saw heaven when he had an accident and had a comma for a short time. And because of that, his father who is a pastor-fireman is about to step out from his position from the church. Many people think that his son is some kind of against church figure, a circus of the news that will be eventually harm to the church. But little by little they all figures out that what he saw was real and he didn’t lied.He really saw things that were real such as his parent’s unborn child who happened to be a daughter, the dead grandfather who happened to be a younger version he saw, even the soldier from the neighbor who was died in the battle. When we see the heaven itself, we truly feel like something holly thing is touching our soul. Something that thousand words cannot describe in a million years. There are so many movies that have tried to sermon and failed big time. This movie didn’t even tried to do so.It just showed the incident really happened and that was all they did.Believe it or not is just purely our decision. But I believe that many of us will feel something after watching this movie. The pastor in this movie doesn’t even wears suits during Sunday. He is quite free minded in terms of preaching. He doesn’t want to show that he is somebody or he is different with all the other people who come to listen to his words. He is no different with others. He is just delivers his thoughts that is in his mind. That’s it. He is not a holly person or knowledgeable intelligent guy. That’s how his son is made of. He saw heaven by maybe accident. That was a bliss and he will carry it for his entire life. He will live a great life and maybe even he will live a life like his father. But please not like one of those people who make sins from Monday to Saturday and go to church for forgiveness on Sunday and go back home and do the same mistake again and again.I had a wonderful time watching this movie and I am very sure that you will too.I also thought about the movies like <WHAT DREAM MAY COME> after this movie.WHERE TO FIND: Bluray is 7.99$ dvd is 8.50$ watch the blurayART: 96/100 breathtaking view of scenaryBOXOFFICE/FUN: 95/100 It's good to watch.MUSIC: 93/100 Invisible but thereACTING: 95/100 greatEDITING: 95/ 100 goodDIRECTING: 94/ 100 goodSEXUALITY: na/100ACTION 80 /100 firefightBLOOD/GORE na/100Cinematography: 96/100 unforgettable views[...]

Astonishing!
I loved Heaven is for Real! I both read the book and saw the movie and both versions were great. I really love how the story talks about the truth that "Heaven truly is real" that is the truth we all really must know for our own good because it'll always give you hope that death is not the end. I also really loved how the story was about when life gets really hard come to God because he loves you, and he will help you, and no matter what happens it's all for a reason. What I was also super amazed by and am very glad they made sure to include in the story was the real picture of the face of Jesus that the little girl painted; that is a picture we all should know and see because it is the face of the man, and savior who loves all of us. Without absolutely any doubt I strongly recommend Heaven is for Real because it's one of the best movies and books ever made. Have a great day, know God loves you, and know our Savior Jesus Christ loves you!

Very inspirational
Had this movie before. Gave it to a friend when I moved out of state. I enjoyed it so very much, and hated myself for giving it away. Found it again on Amazon and had to get it. It was, and has been, an inspiration for me. When I start doubting things, I can watch it and it just clears things out for me. WISH I COULD GIVE IT MORE THAN FIVE STARS.

Such a wonderful, thought provoking movie
It focused a lot on every day life, as well as the individual relationships we all have w/God. Or in some cases, the lack of a relationship. The Burpo family weren’t & still aren’t perfect, nor were they played that way in this movie. They had money problems, argued, stressed & scared. The Rev. kind of lost his way for a short while. The people in their church/on the church council got angry at him, & one even stated [paraphrasing here] that, “Heaven & Hell weren’t real, they were only ideals to comfort & make us behave.” That part about broke my heart. Someone sitting on the church council doesn’t even believe in Heaven/Hell?! How do they expect those of us who live our lives the way Jesus asked us, b/c He promised us that He would reward us all with the love & happiness of Heaven, to believe in that paradise when they don’t?That’s just sheer hypocrisy. And it really got my religious-philosophy juices running, as I love info that makes me think-especially if it’s religiously based! dAnd, I don’t know about you reading this, but that’s a huge reason why I changed the church I’d been going to for a long, long time. The sermons of the priests just didn’t ring true. As in they were merely reading the words, but not believing them. The passion wasn’t there So, when I started to dread going to church, i knew I needed to change![No, the above about my personal experience w/my church isn’t in the movie, sorry. I included it to try to help you relate a bit more to the movie, & to Rev. Todd specifically. 🙂 Even a man of God will have doubts sometimes. Especially after the horrible experience of almost losing their barely 4 yr-old son!It was the way that Todd & Sonja dealt with it that makes this movie so relatable. Just like you & I might. So we can relate to them both.Todd didn’t believe Colton for quite awhile; even though what Colton told his father rang true, the Rev just couldn’t grasp that his 4 yr-old son was actually telling him all about Jesus, heaven, Todd’s grandfather “Pop”. But it wasn’t until Colton told his mother, Sonja, about his other sister (that’s all, no spoilers!) that both parents realized & completely believed that Colton really HAD been to Heaven.Soon after that, Rev. Todd was able to find the words to clearly (& with deep emotions) explain what Colton had gone through. The words he shared opened up their hearts & allowed them to truly •hear• what he was saying.I’m going to stop here. I don’t want to give up any spoilers - even IF most of you all have already seen it. 😏Besides, my review is already way too long, lol!So for those of you who’ve gotten this far, and are still awake - at least rent “Heaven is for Real” to see for yourself. It’s an older movie, so it’s not expensive. I rented it for $2.99 (SD) before I’d bought it. And even buying it, it’s only $9.99, & I’m thinking that’s for HD, too. But no promises, ya? Anyway, I bet you’ll really enjoy it!
