I am sold on this flour for my sourdough....forever!
I don't even remember why I first ordered this flour a few months back. I've been baking sourdough bread every other day religiously since last summer, and the bread flour I'd been using was doing the job just fine. It was expensive and I was purchasing it here on Amazon, but to me.....a good loaf of bread is worth it.And they WERE good....but I had no idea....This Malted Unbleached Bread Flour is UN-BELIEVABLE! The texture, the crust, and the overall flavor of my loaves are now totally next level. I don't know why it isn't more widely talked about, because besides it being the very best bread flour you'll ever get....the price is GREAT! It is half the price of what I was paying for that other flour.I am sold. I will never look anywhere else again. My all time favorite bread flour. No tummy issues and overall happy with how things turn out! Wish it wasn't so pricey, but to me it's completely worth it.

Ok flour
Flour is fine, but I didn't see or taste a big difference in my breads. Not worth the price, I'll stick to KA flour.

Perfect for no knead breads
This malted flour produces a great texture and crust for no knead bread. I use a 50/50 mix of bread flour with this malted flour. It provides good chewy texture to the inside of the bread, and a nice crisp crust. It is pricier than most flour but the taste will impress you. I use a cast iron enameled coquette to bake my bread at 460 degrees f and it always comes out great. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

I'm not a bread baking expert by any means. I have become so disgusted by the mass produced bread that I've basically stopped eating it at all. I despise sweet bread and everything has way too much sugar in it. I recently started reading about European bread and it sounded like that's what I was looking for. In looking for granary flour my choices were rather limited but I found this and decided to give it a try. I made my first loaf today. I used a Dutch oven recipe that was really easy and the bread turned out wonderfuly. Nice chewy crust, excellent flavor and a decent price.

We like this one the best
My wife has been using this for her sourdough bread. We both thought it tasted better with this flour. I didn't really notice any changes in the structure of the crumb but flavor for sure, which I attribute to the malt. Good stuff for bread.
