Transform the rider experience on your vintage MTB
I ride an old hardtail mountain bike and for many years dealt with a lowered saddle on short uphills after bombing a downhill or simply kept my saddle up on a downhill because I wanted to carry momentum up a hill I knew was coming up (including a few scary saddle-caught-between-my-legs moments). But no more! I just installed this dropper and my only regret is not having done it sooner! The installation process was very simple. I have a front and rear derailleur, so I purchased the kit with the Puget 2x lever. It's a sold, quality kit with all the parts you need to install the seatpost and lever. Frankly, looks OEM.I've only gone on two rides so far, but I'm happy to report that the dropper works like a charm. Super easy to drop (as little or as much as you want) and with a tap of a lever back up to efficient pedaling height. I bought the 110mm drop; I'm 5'9" on a medium frame Gary Fisher and probably could have gone with the 90mm drop,Bottomline... if you plan on continuing to ride your older bike, I'd definitely recommend this product.(As a short aside, I appreciate that Pine packed everything in sustainable, recyclable packaging.)

Solid Quality From PNW
I installed the PNW Pine 27.2mm Dropper Post on my bike & have been riding w/it for the past 6 weeks. I chose the post w/90mm of travel as I’m only 5’9” & 90mm is plenty to get my seat out of my way.The post came w/all the hardware needed to install & hit the trails. The post includes plenty cable & cable housing for external routing which makes it easy to install, including the remote lever. Be sure to look over the instructions & you should not have any issues. I’ve used the dropper almost daily since being installed & it works great, no stuck drops or raises nor any unwanted drops. I find the rebound speed to be sufficient. The PNW Pine dropper post is not the cheapest, but I’m glad I spent my money on it. Like I stated earlier, it’s worked without issue, looks & feels like a quality part. The lever works well, but I may replace it in the future. A couple of the other dropper levers on the market look like they may be more durable.Overall I’m really happy w/the PNW Pine & it’s build quality. Because of this, I would recommend it or any other PNW dropper posts to anyone considering purchasing one.Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.

Solid option for older MTB frames.
I recently got my first dropper on a new bike I purchased, and decided once I got used it that it was time to put one on my single speed. Of course, that's challenging because it's a 27.2 post, and there simply aren't many out there, and most of the ones you find are boutique brands that are stupid expensive. This post is none of those things, and while it is a little short on the travel side compared to some offerings, we're talking about a single speed here, so a little is enough. It seems like a solid quality post, no issues keeping the post working with the clamp tight enough to hold the post still, and the seat clamp wasn't a pain to deal with either. I picked up a wolftooth lever to activate this rather than using the PNW part, and I'm glad I did - it's a great lever, and the combination hasn't let me down yet - unless I ask it to.

Great product
I bought this and the lever kit for my friends bike and it was great. He rides a XC hardtail and this work perfectly for the bike. It was also really easy and enjoyable to install. In all, this is a really good product .

Does the thing, drops the seat!
The dropper itself is well made, feels sturdy and works like a charm, easy to drop, quick and responsive on the way back up. the only issue with this thing is the damn lever, it feels good, don't get my wrong, it's well made like the rest of it, but the configuration is just a little weird, because of how the cable comes out of it, either the lever itself or the cable is basically pointing up into the air, I actually had to bend the cable housing a bit just to keep it from pointing almost straight up and off the bike, I suppose it's ok as it is right now, but I would honestly prefer a lever that mounted UNDER the bars, rather than OVER.Anyway, the post itself gets 5 stars, works great, but the poorly designed lever docks it a star, I'll be purchasing a better one at a later date to solve this.

Very Good Quality
Got the PNW Pine 27.2/110Very good quality and very easy to install. The remote lever is aluminum. It was easy to mount and works very well. The seat post has good dampening and is very smooth. The speed of travel is adjustable by how far you pull the cable. There are some for less money but I highly recommend spending a little extra for this brand. It's well worth the price.

Quality product
I put this on a 2017 Trek X Caliber 7. Very happy with purchase. Works well. I do not think the lever is that bad. Instructions were ok. I recommend searching/watching installation videos along with reading instructions. One thing I would like to note is this is the first time I have had to trim cable on the bike. I HIGHLY recommend getting a cutter that can cut stainless steel fiber etc, etc etc, cable housing. I nearly messed up the install trying to trim the cable housing with basic cutting tools. Bought the Park Tool cutter. Luckily I didn't have to buy more cable housing.
