Wonderful
To begin this tale, a while ago, I ordered a Lenovo L420 refurbished for about 160 dollars and had no problems with it. A few months later, I decided that I wanted to mirror my laptop to my television, so I could browse on a larger screen. However, this is when I realized that my computer did not have an HDMI port; Only 1 Displayport port and one VGA port. The only cables that I had at my house were VGA and HDMI, so I just decided to use a VGA cable to connect to my television, but I had an epiphany (sort of) and remembered VGA does not transfer audio. Because my television only has the option of connecting through either VGA or HDMI, I knew that I would either have to use external speakers connected directly to my computer in order to broadcast any audio at any reasonable level, or I would need to find some way of connecting my computer to one of the HDMI ports on my television. I had another epiphany (yeah...) and thought to myself: "Why don't I just buy a Displayport to HDMI adapter?" With that thought and a quick search on Amazon, I ordered this cable and you probably know the rest, and that is the story of how I came into the possession of this wonderful cable.Serious stuff: The cable that I received is very sturdy and came in hassel-free packaging. It was basically plug-and-play when I connected it from my laptop to my television. The operating system that I was using was Windows 10, so I don't know how well this cable would work with Mac OS, Chromium, Linux or any others right out of the box. I assume though, that with older versions of Windows (Windows 7 and up), screen mirroring with this cable will also be plug and play.

Works perfectly for what I need and I am very happy with this
This is a review of the Display Port to HDMI 10’ Gold Plated Cable.Summary – This is a short and simple review. Needed this cable so I can use an HDMI splitter switch to toggle between my two computers and a third monitor in my setup. Works perfectly for what I need and I am very happy with this. Price was decent as well for the type and quality of the cable. This cable does exactly what I wanted it to and does what it claims. It is a 10 foot cable which gives me both a full 1920x1200 (1080P) resolution and can also support audio pass-through in uncompressed format up to 7.1 channels.**Remember, this is designed to use as a cable to connect a display port source to a HDMI display device. This will not work for anyone looking to connect an HDMI output to a display port video input. **In terms of quality, the cable is thick yet you can run this with no issues. It has gold plated endings which are ideal for quality connectors and the display port ending locks in nice and secure. (Wish HDMI came out with a locking mechanism like display port.) Do know the cases enclosing each end are a little deeper than some. So if you need to use this on an input very close to a wall or surface, you may need to look at a 90 degree type of cable or a low profile type.As always, if this develops issues with ongoing use or fails to continue working, I will update this review accordingly.

Exactly What I Needed
I needed this for my ZenBook 3 laptop. It has the power capacity I needed and charges the laptop fine. Now I can leave the laptop's charger at home and the docking station with it's supplied power module at work. Speaking of power modules, the original one shipped to me did not work. It just did not push any power at all. I contacted the seller here and was immediately shipped a replacement power supply. This one worked fine. I appreciated not having to return the inoperative one or having to ship the entire docking station back for a replacement. However, once I had the functioning power supply and hooked the laptop to the docking station, I found the second monitor that I had connected did not display any image. I again contacted the seller's customer support. That's when I found out I needed an "active" DP to HDMI converter (I had just purchased a passive DP to HDMI cable). I didn't see anywhere in the product's description that I would need an active converter but it was simple enough to order once I was told. It cost me $6 to return the cable I didn't need but that's no big deal. The bottom line is the unit is now functioning exactly as I had intended. I get to the office and plug one USB-C cable (supplied) into one of the USB-C ports on the laptop and I'm in business. I use the laptop screen for one monitor and the other monitor connected to the docking station for the second. The keyboard and mouse connect instantly, and the USB speaker system works fine. I've chosen to lay my docking station flat, but I like having the option of using it vertically in in the provided stand.I'm happy with my purchase and pleased the company stands behind their product.

Works perfectly but make sure you use it correctly. DP output to HDMI input.
I was hoping to use it with my Gigabyte B450I AORUS PRO WIFI and some display port monitors. I plugged in the HDMI end to the output on the motherboard and the display port end to the input to the monitors. To my surprise, it didn't work.I ordered 2 so I tried out the other one, and it still didn't work. Thinking I got a defective product, I was getting bummed, but I decided to do an internet search on such cables and it turns out, you can only use these cables in one direction. That is, display port output to HDMI input. If you wanted HDMI output to display port input, you'll need an active converter. So then I tried using this cable with the display port output of my desktop's graphics card into the HDMI input of a TV and it worked! So the cables were not faulty at all, it was just myself that wasn't using it right so I don't think it's fair of me to rate the product poorly because it didn't work when I didn't use it properly. Luckily I did find some other uses for these cables at home so it's not a waste.Just a heads up to those who want to get this cable. Make sure you know which one is your output and input.
