I’ve cleaned countless moose in my lifetime, and it never mattered what high end knife steel you used, a moose hide would dull the edge by the time you were done. This year I decided to try s35vn and I was very impressed. We went through 3 moose and the blade was still considered “kinda sharp”.

Even though several complaints have been made that it advertises a leather sheath, it comes with a cheap plastic Kydex sheath. I have seen no efforts to fix this misrepresentation. I guess just hoping you pay for leather and settle for plastic

This White River Hunter is the ideal knife for my hunting purposes. The handle fits my large hand and the blade is shaped just right and is scary sharp.You can't go wrong with this Hunter model. I'm impressed.I have talked to the owner, John Sr., and he and his family are committed to useful, quality hunting knives.

Not a fan of the kydex sheath with the nuts and bolts instead of leather as advertised. The pine box can be difficult to open because of the size of the plastic sheath. The knife itself is overpriced and a bit on the shrimpy side though the warranty cant be beat. At 3.5 inches most folding knives have as much or in some cases more blade. I may have a real leather sheath that will fit but not thrilled that its advertised as leather. For the price you expect better.
