Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for LG V60 ThinQ Case [5G] (2020) - Matte Black

This is the first time I’ve actively taken time out of my day to write a review for a product, and it’s because I was absolutely blown away by this Spigen case. I’ve initially been interested in buying cases that were simply aesthetically pleasing, but it doesn’t take much to realize that buying a durable case that can properly protect your very expensive phone is a lot more important.Below, I’ve listed some pros and cons of this case. All statements are opinions of my own, but I have tried to be as objective as possible. Hope this review finds the right audience and helps people make the best purchase decision :)Pros:-Its incredible, mind-blowing durability: This is obviously the most important criteria of any phone case, and I have yet to find a product that trumps the durability of Spigen. I have dropped my phone countless times, from various heights and angles. While my friends all cringe and look in horror at my seemingly destroyed phone, I don’t even flinch anymore because my Spigen case has never failed to protect my phone. My phone screen protector has cracked before, but the actual body of the phone has never been damaged.-Reasonable price: The price level may seem a tad bit high compared to other random phone cases out there, especially since clear plastic cases all look pretty much the same on the outside. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize just how much value I was getting out of these 14 bucks, and once you know that, you’ll realize it’s actually very affordable for its high quality.-Unscratchable surface: Although this product is matte black, it does not scratch easily, which was one of my initial concerns. The surface is smooth to the touch and is seemingly soft, but I haven't gotten any noticeable scratches on it despite dropping it a couple times and frankly being quite rough with it on a daily basis.Cons:-I wish there was more of a sturdy/thick rim that can better protect the screen of the phone. If the phone lands face-down, I’ve noticed that sometimes the impact manages to crack my screen protector. However, the overall bumper, air-cushioned corners, and hard cover manages to protect my phone camera and the rest of the phone's surfaces.Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have been a loyal customer of Spigen cases for over 7 years now, and this latest purchase once again proved to me that it is a highly reliable brand. I’m excited to see how far Spigen will go in the future!

Every time I upgrade my phone, I end up searching for a new case and hope I pick the right one. I want something that fits my phone correctly, is snug, and durable. For my LG V60, I decided on this case and wasn't disappointed. The cons listed below don't lower my thoughts on this case; they are more for letting future buyers be aware in case those items are important to them. Overall, this is a great case, and I am glad I purchased it.Pros:+Fits snugly to phone+All buttons line up and are easy to use; no need to press harder than without case+All opening line up perfectly (camera, screen, top edge, bottom edge, and left side)+Texture on sides allows for better grip.+Back of case is flat for attaching phone wallet/pop socket/etc+Raised edge around screen & camera lens protects against drops onto flat surface+Decent-sized audio and power openings+Easy to install and removeNeutral:=Carbon Fiber strips on top & bottom of back are not really useful (unless you like to run your fingernails quickly over them to annoy whoever is in the room with you)Cons:-No screen protector included-No covers over power & audio jacks to prevent dust entryObviously, this case isn't going to protect the screen/camera lens if it hits a non-flat surface, if the phone is slammed down or thrown, or if you sit/fall down hard with it in your back pocket. It will protect it if it slips out of your hands onto the kitchen's ceramic tile floor (verified) or when you suddenly have to brake and the phone goes flying off your center console, hits the dash, and then hits to floor on the passenger side (verified); not a scratch or dent anywhere (front, back, or sides).

This is by far one of my favorite charging cases. All of the places where you need your phone uncovered for the phone check and the USB charging cable are perfect they are oversized so you are never ripping your plastic. The case is sturdy the case feels good in your hand. It is very easy to clean. I have dropped my phone so many times and have never had an issue worried that it isn't protected. It was a great value for the money. I could also charge my phone through quick charging through the case. I recommend and would buy again

This is a nice case from Spigen for my new LG V60; but it won't be my final choice. I used to love Spigen cases many years ago, until I discovered others like Zizo, etc. This case was the best choice right now for my new phone, and it's just in the meantime until one of my other favorite makers of cases (Zizo and UAG) come out with something nice and colorful, and sturdier for it. I upgraded from the LG V30 to the new LG V60 but choices of cases are slim unless you want one of the junk Chinese knock off cases all over here on Amazon and other places online. I had a nice colorful Zizo Bolt case that I loved on my LG V30. This Spigen case here that I bought for the new LG V60 is not near as sturdy, and tends to be a bit slippy and lacks any kind of color choices. It's raised around the face of the phone, but not enough in my opinion. It's nice and sleek for slipping the phone in your pocket, and the buttons on the side are super easy to press and that's very nice. Even though it's all black, it has some eye appeal but I wish Spigen would really come back with some colors and more sturdiness options on their phone cases. All in all it will serve it's purpose until I find my dream case for my new phone.
