I use no other.
I’ve made my own soap and laundry detergent for years, but this soap makes my life easier. I even use it as a shampoo! A huge plus is it’s longevity; the big bar lasts and lasts and lasts.

Leathery smell but nice
At first I thought it smelled like cowboy boots or fresh leather saddle, but no one else I said that to thought the same. No after smell except on the face with a new bar.Suds just fine with a cloth. Lasted me a while but I'm always conservative with soaps. It's rustic and sometimes smelly, but that's half the point. I won't stop using them, though they got really expensive so I'm also trying other brands with the same...branding stamp?... on them. They are about the same from my experience.I mainly like that it's a simple plain ingredient soap. I like to go to the core of each kind of product I want and not have all the niceties of perfect texture, foam, smell, etc. with extra additives.

Use it to wash my hair
I use it to wash my hair and it helps with any scalp conditions. Use to wash my face and leaves the skin soft and hydrated, will always keep this soap in stock.

Check the percentage of bay laurel oil - the higher the percentage, the more drying it is
Aleppo soap is a traditional, all-natural product with a simple yet effective ingredient list, primarily olive oil and bay laurel oil. It lathers well, has a distinct earthy scent, and feels luxurious on the skin. One thing to note is the percentage of bay laurel oil. I ordered the highest percentage available, not realizing that it is best suited for oily skin. As a result, I found it drying, but this was due to my own choice rather than any fault of the soap itself. For those with drier or more sensitive skin, a lower percentage of bay laurel oil may be a better option.Overall, this is a high-quality, traditional soap, and choosing the right formulation for your skin type is key to getting the best experience.

Pros and Cons, oh the decisions
I'm very confused about this soap right now. I have been using it for my hair and body. It leaves my hair squeaky which I don't entirely dislike. I read your suppose to rinse with apple cider vinegar if using for hair but I don't have time for that! It's brought out some natural curls for me which is assuring letting me know it's probably getting moisturized.I do love how it feels on my skin leaving it feeling clean and squeaky without the dryness and itchiness like storebrand's do BUT the smell...I don't know how long I can keep up with the smell. The scent automatically reminds me off a petting zoo and the smell of money. Yeah. I'm weighing the pros and cons right now because before going to bed and finally settling in for my sleep to relax, I find myself thinking with a foul face "What is that smell? Smells like poop." Oh yeah, it's my new pet zoo fragrant soap. -_-Decisions, decisions. I'll definitely finish it the best I can because I do see benefits but I may look for alternatives once it's gone. For now, I'll try to mask the smell with skin care products and hair products.

The soap os made in Turkey so this is good enough for me. Bought it as a gift so had no chance to test it. It is form poured soap not like another aleppo soaps cut by hand, pictured for comparison. Therfore is is way smaller. So be aware before buying that this is a very small amount of soap. However higher amount of Laurel soap is only recommended for more temporary use to heal the skin and other skin related issues, then after week or two you need to take a break. So i assume.this small soap will be enough to use for your needs. Has pretty strong smell typical for Aleppo soaps. Nothing like modern soaps which are mostly fovused n enticing you by smell.
