The lamp has a very heavy base, which ensures it won't fall down while a pair of little hands being on the keyboard. To me, this very aspect nails the deal.Other observations: 1) It has wide voltage range 110 to 240 - should work in the majority of the world. The plugs though are US type - two flat pins. 2) The LED bulbs look to me cannot be replaced. So hope it can last 25,000+ hours, as most LED bulbs claim to be. 3) The product has 5-year warranty, so even if bulb burns out, I imagine someone is going to take care of it. 4) it casts adequate light on music sheet and keyboard. 4) it has a sleek appearance. For European style pianos, it probably doesn't look as compatible as it does on a black modern style one.

My old lamp was ruined by a power surge so I replaced with this LED lamp. It doesn't seem especially bright, but for some reason the design puts just the right amount of light over the sheet music. I like this lamp much better than my older one which wasn't LED and put out quite a bit of heat. This one was less expensive as well.

The lamp works as advertised; very bright! I added a remote switch to make it easier to turn on/off (the switch is on the back of the base of the lamp and difficult to reach with a music stand on the piano. It needs space BEHIND the sheet music, so if your piano's music stand is all the way at the back of the piano, this one won't work for you. Like I said, not cheap, but it makes a world of difference vs my floor lamp.

I ordered this lamp to sit on my piano and light up the music sheets. When I received it I loved it instantly!It’s not only a sleek design which looks very sharp siting on my piano but it lights up at least 3 sheets of music and the whole keyboard! It is very bright; just the perfect amount of light to see everything! and the base is nice and heavy so it is very stable and stays where it’s placed! The goose neck is long enough to pull over into the perfect position to light up everything!I really love this lamp but I noticed the switch worked sometimes and other times I would have to toggle it for the light to turn on. A couple times it turned off on its own seconds after it was turned on?!? and other times it would turn right on with the switch and stay on.Unfortunately I had to send it back but I love this light so much that I have already ordered another lamp. I hope no problems again.

This lamp arrive with one of the bulbs not lighting at all. Luckily, my husband was able to re-solder the broken connection and fix it, so I didn't have to send it back and get a replacement. However, I needed it immediately, and would have been greatly inconvenienced if I didn't have my husband's expertise and support. Working properly, this is a very nice light. It covers 3 standard pages of music very nicely, (although as most all LED lights, it also casts a dark shadow over about 1/2 of the length of the white keys if ambient light is low.)

petite with a grand span of light - a good choice for me - reading has become a pleasure from the generous light now flooding a book - very pleased with the purchase - well made - smart design - takes to any twist and turn and holds the position - nicely streamline and sharp looking

Maybe I just got a bad batch of lamps, but I am ordering this lamp for the third time! The first lamp had a short in the cord and you had to move it just right to get it to turn on. The second lamp I ordered, the base of the lamp was scuffed up. I can’t believe I am risking a third try but I like the design, weight and light of the lamp so much. I can’t find anything quite exactly like it so because of that I am trying a third time....but it will be my last attempt!
