Best eyeliner I've tried in years and the perfect color. Been looking for this color for a long time. Wears very well and very easy to apply. Highly recommend.

I'm in my mid 60's and retired. I am olive skinned with a salt & pepper short pixie cut.I don't wear much makeup but I do feel like I need to do a little every morning - - if not for any other reason but that it just makes me feel a little more put together - - - even if I am just running out the the market.I don't do much and definitely don't spend a lot of time - - - some sunscreen moisturizer, a bit of liner, mascara, blush and lip gloss every morning.I just tried this eyeliner pencil in the deep charcoal and I love it.I will say that the first time I applied it, I was shocked at how dark it was. I got the dark charcoal and it looked jet black. The main reason for this is that I was used to using a regular pencil as a liner and didn't realize how soft and silky this Laura Geller pencil was. Using the same pressure with this that I used to use with a normal pencil caused the over application.I wiped it off and tried again using a much lighter touch. Perfect.I will say that although this is a soft pencil and not a liquid liner, it does seem to dry and set after a bit. If I line one eye, line the other one then go back to smudge the first one, the liner doesn't smudge very easily as it seems to have set and doesn't allow for very easy smudging or blending. I've developed a new routine now and I line one eye then smudge that one before going onto the other.I tried using both my finger and a stiff brush to blend. I personally prefer using the stiff brush because it gives me a little more control, but either blending method work well. I've actually started swiping the brush across the tip of this pencil, then applying it directly using the brush itself.I guess in a way, the fact that this liner seems to "set" is a good thing because even my light application lasts all day long without melting away or fading.I haven't tested it's actual waterproof-ness by going for a swim yet, but it does seem to stay put even after a run and a workout.I'm going to order another one in a shade of brown too.I am using this in San Francisco where the weather is cool. We spend half the year in Hawaii though, and though it takes an even lighter hand when applying (because the warm weather makes the pencil even softer) I'm happy to report that they hold up in that warmer and more humid climate just as well.

I like the color and the ease of applying this liner, it stays on all day. The price is fair, I only wish the size of the liner was thinner, I find it wider than I like.

The media could not be loaded. This Laura Geller eyeliner is a beautiful shade and easy to apply. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve moved away from black eyeliners because I think they look too harsh around my eyes and are not as flattering as brown. This eyeliner kind of feels like a crayon in that, it’s not as thin as a pencil, but it goes on much smoother than a crayon. I can quickly apply it to my top eyelids and then smudge and blend to soften the look. I had never used an eyeliner like this before, but I think this is a great invention. I’m happy with this purchase and I recommend this eyeliner to anyone but especially to people who are getting older.

I love that this is thicker than the average eyeliner. It goes on smooth as liquid and lasts all day and night! Love it. No smudging at all.

I gave it a 3 stars because I had an allergic reaction to it. The location where the eye liner touched had a rash reaction after 2 consecutive days of use. Yes, I did remove it at night. I wear Laura Mercier eye liner for years but Laura Geller is cheaper. The Geller’s eye liner color is pretty but not as rich as the Mercier’s, and it did stay on all day. I can’t return it because I took too long to try the Geller eye liner and the time limit for return has passed.

Beautiful color and goes on smoothly. It stays put all day so it is a bit hard to remove.

Reminds me of a thicker Bobby Brown liner. Nice and soft and long lasting. Doesn’t irritate my eyes. Love it.
