I chose this over the COSRX version because of a beauty blogger (50 Shades of Snail? maybe?) who listed all of the chemicals in each and said the MIZON version was a lower PH and therefore a better toner. I'm glad other people are willing to invest that much time and research, because I really don't want to, so I just took her word for it and bought this.After a week of using the toner, twice per day, incorporated into the rest of my Korean skin care routine, I noticed that my skin is smoother and has a soft texture. I hadn't bought a physical exfoliator yet (like those little wine-soaked pads) but while getting out of the shower this morning I realized I DON'T NEED TO. I had incredibly dry skin with visible, itchy flakes just two weeks ago. Now, even though it's the middle of February, my skin is soft and hydrated. I can't wait to see what my skin will look like in 6 months!I don't apply this with a cotton ball. I felt like too much was sinking into the ball and going into the garbage instead of onto my face. I shake a few drops onto my palms then swipe upwards over my face. Others complained about a smell or leaving the skin sticky (I haven't experienced this) or that it burned or turned their skin red (haven't experienced this either). I used to use Clinique's Clarifying Lotion though, so I'm used to hella stinging in a toner! This feels like a slightly tacky, cool water and you wonder if it's doing anything. (Oh, yes it is.) I follow it up with a hydrating Essence, which is a similar texture and seals all the toner's goodness in before I move on to moisturizers.

Remember using the bright blue Sea Breeze astringent? Ever tried Clean and Clear? This is not those products. Used properly, it's about 10000x better.Mizon is a Korean skin care line, and this product has a specific purpose within the pantheon of Korean skin care products: toner is meant to lower the pH of your skin. Healthy skin is slightly acidic and when you apply an alkalinic cleanser, you disrupt that acidity. A gentle toner, the theory goes, will restore the acidity and prepare your skin to accept the next steps in your skin care routine, so that the products are more effective (and not battling your skin's own attempts to restore its acidity). I use this toner 2-3x nights per week either when I want to apply hyaluronic acid serum, or if I'm starting to get little clogged pores on my chin or nose, and it keeps everything in check.If I need something stronger, I use two very different products--I dab on Makeup Artist's Choice 8% beta-hydroxy serum for the occasional cystic acne flare-up on my chin, and I sometimes use Kama Ayurvedic Mogra Water (jasmine water) as a light morning toner if my skin is rosaceic or irritated.

This is completely getting rid of my moderate acne!I've been using it for 2 months, once a day, and have noticed my acne fades so fast, my skin even looks less red and irritated in sunlight. Yes I do wear a sunscreen everyday, but I already was before this.Ive had about 3-4 breakouts since I've started, but they dried up super quickly, and my otherwise very clogged skin that is usually riddled with tiny zits all over my chin and lower cheeks are completely gone. To only have to deal with a few large zits once or twice a month, is a godsend for me. They disappear quickly and don't leave behind huge pigmentation marks.I've done tons of acid peels, used every kind of separate bha or aha from cosrx, paula's choice, etc. This is the only thing that made a huge difference, without leaving my skin super irritated from the strong acid or parched to the point of needing heavy hydrating toners/lotions. This is a fabulous toner to use after cleansing, and before using actives (such as L-AA Vitamin C, AHA, and BHA). It preps your skin to be at the proper pH level for the most effective active performance (otherwise, your active products have to work first to lower your skin's pH and aren't as effective). This does contain alcohol, and because of that I find it slightly drying (I have aging, very dry skin), but coupled with my other hydrating products I use in my routine the drying effect is negligible. It also has a scent, so be aware of that if you are sensitive to scents. It's a fresh, clean scent and it doesn't bother me. I love the packaging. The bottle is sturdy, and it's easy to watch the product level to see how much is left. The top has a small hole that makes pouring the product out in to my hand easy, but not TOO easy (so I don't waste product). This is a big plus. I use it by pouring just a quarter size drop in to the palm of my hand, rub between my hands, and pat on my face to apply. No need to waste any cotton pads. I follow immediately with my first acid step. Also, it's a great price for a product that will last a really long time. Definitely recommended for the pH lowering toner step in your skin care routine! I absolutely notice my actives seem to work better when I use it.

Purchased on a recommendation from the Asian Beauty subreddit community on reddit, repurchased because it's awesome.I use right after I was my face, before any of my actives (OST C20 serum, CosRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid, CosRX AHA Whitehead Power Liquid, Curology rx with retinol) to bring the pH of my skin down, which makes the other products more effective! It helps to use a low pH cleanser, like CosRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, but if you don't, this is an even more crucial step. Google moisture barrier and skin pH and acne if you're curious.I put mine in a cheap little spray bottle, and mist my face twice, patting the toner in afterward. That way, I don't waste a ton in cotton pads!I will probably buy this as long as they make it.
