This is a review of the Marini Luminate Face Mask - 1 ozI have older, dry and very sensitive skin so I am always looking forward to trying out new quality facial care products. I have always been a fan of Marini, so I was eager to try this and am happy to say it’s really great, with one quibble.My quibble is that this mask does not have the most pleasant smell or look to it, but what’s more important to me is how it works and it seems to work really well.The texture feels thick, but you just have to put a small layer on your face to get the job down. Simply put it on, wait 10 minutes, and delicately wipe/wash it off.I do feel the mask have the distinctive tightening/tingling feel to it and for the first few times, I thought it might be irritating to my sensitive skin - but it’s not.Does it make me look younger or change how my skin looks? Can’t say I see a big difference, but I feel a big difference. My skin feels like silk after I take it off; the first few times I used this on different sides of my face to see if it made a difference and it does. So now I am happily putting it all over.Recommended. I am not a fan of the scent, it feels luxe, and really makes your skin silky.

This is a very expensive face mask. The outside of the jar is all silver, which made me think the cream itself was the same color. But no - it's a beige colored cream. It feels great on my skin and when I rinsed it off, my skin looked definitely brighter.At first I thought it arrived with no seal, but as it turned out, it was stuck under the lid. However, for a product this expensive, I would have expected a tear-off type seal to ensure the product was fresh. Instead, it's just a plastic lid that sometimes get stuck to the roof of the lid, so you might think it didn't come with a seal.Overall it's excellent quality - I just wish the seal was more professionally done.

So many facial masks are either a heavy clay sort of mask or made of something acidic to dissolve the upper layers of skin. This one is very delicate and moisturizes as it cleanses. You only need to massage a small amount of this across your face to get a full treatment. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse away.For the most part, it does rinse away easily, but I find that it is quite helpful to do so by using a washcloth or a makeup removal pad. I prefer the latter because it's much more gentle on the skin.Once it's been removed, the skin looks and feels extra clean. Looks radiant and is moisturized without leaving the skin oily or greasy. There's a healthy glow and you are then ready to move onto applying the rest of your skincare regimen.This is a very clean skincare product and seems as though it would be very safe and gentle on sensitive skin. Great for all skin types and is wonderful on my mature combination skin.

This is a 10 minute mask in a small screw top jar. I think there is settling since it looked half full but also appeared to be about the correct 1 ounce. I have dry older skin with age spots ( raised and hyper pigmented) around my hair line. The product feels like mud. Goes on easily with no distinct fragrance. I did feel a tingling sensation only in areas where I have age spots. After 10 minutes I showered it off as I don’t have a lot of success removing masks at a sink.I found the results to be pleasing….my skin tone was more even and my age spots less obvious. The mask was also moisturizing. It did everything I ask from a mask so I was very happy with its performance.

Missing half the product out of jar or possibly looks previously used. Very disappointed as I have used this exact product before.

I've used this several times and while I notice that my skin feels smoother after removal, I wonder if it is partially due to the exfoliating action of the wash cloth. The product has the consistency of a lotion and is easy to apply evenly. I leave it on for about 10 minutes and remove as instructed. As I said, my skin feels softer but I can't say that I notice any other differences. And it's quite expensive.

While I wouldn't describe this face mask as transformative there's definitely an immediate plumping, softening and balancing effect from the moment you rinse it off. I was feeling a little tired and worn down when I first used it, and my skin reflected my mood, but after ten minutes my skin looked and felt noticeably better. Where my complexion was patchy it now looks smooth, and my shiny forehead has been mattified.The mask is a fairly thick cream that looks like oatmeal, only smooth. It absorbs very quickly and leaves behind a mildly greasy sheen, but that's no problem as you're going to wash it off quickly. The box warns of a tingling sensation, though I only really noticed it where I'd recently shaved (a situation that you're unlikely to face daily if you're a woman). It wasn't unpleasant, just a minor sting as you'd get from anything that contained menthol.All in all I'm very happy. It's a small tub, but it doesn't take much to cover the face. At one to three uses per week I could easily see the tub lasting maybe six months.

I have mature skin that is dry in some areas and very sensitive in others. I have sun spots from many years of sun exposure on my face and hands.This mask inside of the smallish jar is a thickish cream colored type of lotion? I’m using a small amount of this mask to my face 2 times weekly in the evening after I cleanse my face. I’m leaving the mask on for 10 minutes as instructed than removing with a soft washcloth.My skin feels soft and silky smooth after it dries as well as very nicely moisturedI’m really enjoying this facial mask by Jan Marini and I look forward to using it a couple of times per week.
