Matrix Total Results Dark Envy Red Neutralization Toning Hair Mask, 200 ml

Used for 20mins on towel dried hair. Staining came off with just a wipe. Took all red tones and uniformly darkened. Has also covered greys. Hair feels very soft. Not washed it since applying but result is quite noticeable so will probably use once a month or so. I have long thick hair and used less than half but could probably have used much less. Thank you!

I want to first say I never write reviews but this product WOWED me and I had to share as I would have appreciated a review like this. I have natural ashy brown curly hair and after years of box dying/colouring my hair darker it’s left my hair with warm gingery brown tint to it and my natural roots coming through. I now wanted to start growing my hair to my natural colour. I came across this product after hours of scanning to find something to hopefully help tone down my hair to help blend into my roots instead of dying and this did the trick. It’s very messy but works a treat - wear rubber/disposable gloves (essential as it stains everything). I recommend treating and applying it like a dye but on damp hair. Brush through your hair and split in two, spritz your hair down with water to make it damp. Start at the root and apply a generous amount down to the ends. Let it sit for 20 minutes and carefully shower/ shampoo/ condition. It’s very messy and have bathrooms cleaner/wipes on hand to clean any purple stains. Other than that the results speak for themselves😊

I used this today as I've tried the blue range but it wasn't very effective. I have grown out balyage and wanted to tone the red from the dyed brown in comparison to my ashy medium brown roots whilst I can't get to the hairdresser. I used gloves and applied directly to the root area, it has worked well in toning the brown but despite my best efforts it has bled into the blond parts leaving a slight green tinge more noticeable in unnatural light. But tbh I expected this as it does state can stain lightened hair, hopefully it will just fade with a few rinses.

It removed all the ginger I had in my hair but also turned my hair a blue ... Only left it on the recommended 5 mins on wet hair ...

The product is excellent, however l have not received the goods. Service not so good !!

Really works by removing orange/red tones from bottle-dyed red-brown on dark brown hair. Kept it on for much longer than on instructions (30mins), as mentioned in other reviews, with great results. I’ll continue to use once a week or so to keep on top of it, while it grows out. Fully recommend!

I did not expect this to work so well! I applied to dry hair and left it on for 45 minutes. These are my results after just one use. Definitely gets rid of the brassiness, although it does look like I've dyed it a dark brown.

I have very light brown hair and got very red after taking sun (also because I lightly bleached it months ago, so every time colour fades away the red tones come back) .Very strong green/purple colour cream, so suggest to dilute in normal cream for the first time if you have light hair.It also darkened the hair a bit too and even cover some of the white.I loved the results, I got an ashy tone now it and got rid of all red tones.Im very happy with the product and results. Just what I wanted.Be aware it stains towels and clothes!
