Highly Posable, Perfectly Painted, Best Rathalos Toy IF You Get a Good Quality One
The media could not be loaded. Before I begin this review, it should be known that I had to get a REPLACEMENT for this Monsterarts Rathalos from Amazon because the one I received was defected. The first Rathalos I received was already disassembled when I received it. Its left shoulder was separated from where it should connect. Its feet falls apart too easily without even touching the ground yet. One of the wings won't stay in place because the socket keeps rejecting the ball joint. It was a horrific mess, a nightmare situation for collectors! I really wanted a Rathalos so instead of just asking for a refund, I requested for a REPLACEMENT.The replacement I received was thankfully free from problems and it's actually PERFECT in my opinion. The box is huge, nearly as big as Monsterarts Ghidorah's box if I remember correctly. Inside, there are different trays that hold all of his extra wings and flight stands. Out of the box, Rathalos looks so beautiful. I'm extremely impressed by his paint job! The sculpt also looks very beautiful and greatly detailed. You can see all the wrinkles and scales, he really seems like a real creature. When it comes to articulation, this is another part where Rathalos shines! His neck can be moved around in all sorts of ways and extreme poses. His tail is the same way, even the tip can move! His shoulders can be rotated and pushed in and out as well, so you can easily position his wings anyway you want. His upper body can bend sideways and crunch deep downwards if you so desire. His legs can also easily move around and even perform splits. His toes can move individually! You can make Rathalos stand despite his heavy weight. You can use his tail as support for this purpose. You can open his mouth extremely wide. If you can't open it wide, then it's caused by the lower neck piece that's blocking the movement of the jaw. Simply push this in and open the mouth again and it will work. Here on Amazon, there are some reviews that gave Rathalos a very low score because what they received were defective toys. This is sad because this isn't usually the quality of Monsterarts toys. Anyone who gets a defective item will of course rightfully give this a very low score. Still, the only time you'll truly see Monsterarts Rathalos show off his potential is by getting a non-defective one. Without any of the defects that other people have on their Rathalos, as well as the initial problems that my first Rathalos came with, I can say that Monsterarts Rathalos is one of my favorite Monsterarts toys right now. The sculpt is just beautiful on this monster, I can't get tired of looking at all of his fine details. I love the beautiful paint application on this monster, especially the parts where it transitions from one color to another. The posability is superb, you can bend and pose him almost in whatever way you want.I've attached a video review of Monsterarts Rathalos here so you can see how awesome he is. You can also see the same video review on my youtube channel. Just search for Monsterarts Rathalos Review Adeno on youtube.

Perfectly detailed, very poseable, but pretty fragile.
I received mine in perfect condition and I am very careful when posing it, but I can see how someone's could break, it's pretty delicate especially the wing parts. Other than that I'm very pleased with it, looks fantastic and you can do some cool poses with it. Just be careful!

Great figure good buy for a decent price!
The figure looks beautiful and looks accurate to the monster. It a little fragile and it foot like to come off but other than that I'm so happy with my purchase.

Some negatives, but still impressive
I'll start by mentioning that this is my second MonsterArts figure, with my first being the 2019 Godzilla KotM figure. At first I was in love with that figure but as time went on I saw more and more how flawed it was. This Rathalos, like Godzilla, is absolutely gorgeous. It's incredibly faithful to the source material and whether it's a handmade sculpt or a 3d model chopped into poseable pieces, it's quality. The wingspan is massive, the paint job on mine is fantastic, and it's a large figure overall, eclipsing my ancient revoltech rathalos by a mile and surpassing its poseability as well. All that said, keep the following in mind before you buy. The joints on my godzilla became loose before long. Monsterarts from my experience are basically a system of balljoints surrounded by rings of plastic that make up the body of the figure, meaning these things are pretty hollow on the inside. Parts tend to pop off these balljoints A LOT. Godzilla is basically a long snake body with limbs, and the tail has lost its flexibility without popping off at every joint. Many of these segments are those hollow ring parts. It's been on my desk in good care, but worn down surprisingly quick. Now consider how many moving parts this item has. It's got unsurpassed poseability but tons of parts that will easily pop off. Right off the bat the wing on mine wont hold the pose, and half the leg will come apart with just a little pressure. It's very delicate and you can't expect this to be a toy or a plaything. This is one of those "set it and forget it" figures that you pose and place on a shelf or desk to admire. This is by no means a bad thing, but it lacks the solid feel you could expect from say, a figma, or even tamashii's own dragon ball z figures. For a figure this size, currently priced at $110 is a good price in my opinion. As mentioned, the wingspan is massive, and the body itself is large and weighty. It's not something you're going to look at like a typical 1/12 scale figure and think "I paid $100 for a six inch piece of plastic" but rather a large and impressive piece to display. Keep in mind the negative points I've mentioned, but overall if you can get past that then I can recommend this figure to you wholeheartedly.

The is a rad Rath!!
Yes, I have read and seen all the terrible things about this figure. I will say for myself that I have not had any of these commonly refered to fit issues. Rath does need special care and attention and needs to be treated with respect and a gentle touch. This is NOT a toy and should not be treated as such. The details are just stunning. This is definitly the big guy and done oh,so very well.
