Worked for me.
I only bought it to trim back shingles that the roofing co. I installed with the overhang so long I could not get my hands in to clean the gutters. After years of struggling and trying all types of cutters I tried this tool. My shingles were 40 year shingles and very thick so 3 layers with the starter. Worked great. I only used them for one day and figure I’ll find other uses. For now it cuts cardboard very well. I never have to cut shingles again but it was worth $200 for my one and only job

These blades will stay sharp much longer then the average person will need this tool for
These cutters are amazing if you are doing any type of complex cuts with shingles, or a lot of cuts. I was debating between these or a shingle sheer. This worked out perfect. I had the lovely opportunity to reroof a 30ft geodesic dome. Remove cedar shingles and install asphalt. After the first weekend of learning how i was going to install the shingles on a round building i knew i was going to need to cut most every shingle i put on the building at different lengths and angles. I cut 76 bundles of asphalt shingles with these sheers, different lengths and different patterns. I used these to cut shingles in place on edges or overhang. To cut around vent pipes or on edges is super easy. Obviously they cut easier with shingles warm, however even with cold shingles these cut right through them with next to no effort. You need a steady hand to cut shingles strait with these unlike a sheer but the portability and ability to have this on the roof or ladder with you and adjust the cutters and direction from the drill is nice. After Cutting all these shingles and tossing this tool around for 5 months while i worked on this building over weekends I realized even though I will never opt to redo this roof and will pay for someone to do it next time, this was the best decision and money spent on a tool to make my life easier. Also these blades are not dull at all. I could use them to do it a second time no problem. I had planned to sell these after the roof was finished but i will be keeping them and loaning them out to family on their roofing projects. I do not have any complaints.

I use these to cut heavy gage galvanized hardware cloth
They work great. After a little practice I can make quick, clean, straight cuts on the hardware cloth. These have paid for themselves with time saved vs. using manual snips. I've also used these on asphalt shingles, and they work great for those as well. Very pleased with this product. Still going strong after 3 years of use. Have only had to tighten the fasteners on the blade inserts (they are designed to be replaced), have never needed to sharpen or replace them. You do need a very small hex key to tighten the fasteners that hold the blade inserts. This was not included when I bought this in 2020, and is smaller than found in common hex key sets.

Best tool I have seen for the average roofer installer
Been Roofing all of my life. This is a great tool for cutting shingles. This is the best for cutting the hips and ridges instead if using a knife hand held blade. This tool by far save the labor time by at least 20%. Get on NOW you will not regret this purchase.
