meaning that it made things somewhat better. A few times after months and months the ...
I've only had this product for maybe 4 days.I have plantar fascitis and a heel spur that I've been dealing with on and off for a few years. I have the $400 or thereabouts custom orthotics, I've gotten the cortisone shots, have the tennis ball under my desk, done the frozen water bottles.Everything worked SOMETIME to some extent, meaning that it made things somewhat better. A few times after months and months the pain would actually go away.I will honestly say I thought these heel cups were outrageously priced. I would have thought that $10 - $15 would be a far more reasonable price. I"ve bought heel cups and heel shock supports before and these are significantly more money.nevertheless I bought this.I can report that I've now had 4 days pain-free. To be perfectly honest while I'd be upset if these stopped working tomorrow, the four days of ZERO pain are something I probably would pay $6 a day for... so I've already gotten my money's worth.I will nonetheless report back if they stop being effective, which is of course a possibility if my foot gets "used to them" and starts being messed up in a different way.Of course this doesn't mean these will work for YOU. my podiatrist told me that everything I've tried has worked for some significant percentage of his patients so this definitely looks to be one of those "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" situations. At any rate... in case it helps anyone make up their mind here are more details about my situation:1. plantar fasciatis injury.2. heel spur3. Worst pain in the am when waking up... and stepping out of bed to the point that I'd sometime have to walk on the tip of my right toes to diminish the pain. Yes I own the nighttime splint... I hate it... and I can't say I've seen that help4. Pain also during the day, getting up from a desk after sitting, even for as short as maybe 45 minutes. Not as bad as the pain in the am but definitely something that would cause me to take the first 50 steps slower than I otherwise would5. When warmed up the foot was pretty much fully functional. I do significant amounts of cardio workouts (mostly Zumba) and once my feet have warmed up I can do EVERYTHING the instructor can do at high intensity6. The only shoes I own that I would truly feel comfortable in (AFTER about a week of hating them - I was told it would be this way) is a pair of bierkenstocks (the hard sole...the soft one is supposedly instantly comfortable but overall less supportive)Surprisingly after half a day of wearing these things on saturday I noticed that when I woke up on sunday morning I was in FAR LESS pain than I normally would. monday was even better and this morning I'd say I was pain free. I'm talking when getting out of bed in the am, barefoot on tile. With these on in my sneakers I've been 100% walking-pain free (I say walking because I also have some other form of general pain in my heel that comes and goes and that is not pressure-related... meaning it might or might not hurt while I'm walking and it might or might not hurt even if I'm sitting with zero pressure on the foot ... this has NOT changed at all over the past 4 days. We'll see if time heals all heels :P

They really work!
I was skeptical, but these heel pads are amazing! From the first moment I started using them, my heel pain vanished. I only notice pain now when I walk barefoot. I was worried they would feel too bulky inside my shoes, but barely notice them now. They fit seamlessly in my shoes and relieve my plantar fasciitis pain that recently flared up. I was worried about going on vacation next month, but now I won’t have to. I would definitely recommend these heel cups to others that suffer from heel pain.

Finally Found Releif!
I recently developed plantar fasciitis, and have tried quite a few of the numerous products that are on the market in order to try and ease the pain. But these inserts are one of the only things that finally made a positive difference, at least for me.I purchased a pair of the gel inserts and a pair of the regular inserts from this company (Heel That Pain) because I wasn't sure what the difference would be. I definitely prefer the gel. They are a very flexible silicone material, whereas the standard ones are more firm. I like the shape of the Heel That Pain inserts because the support is right in front of the heel pad on your foot. Many other inserts have a cushion in the heel area, which pressed up against my foot and actually cause more pain. The description claims to massage the Plantar Fasciitus tendon in the bottom of your foot, and for me that's exactly what it did! I put these inside my tennis shoes and begin feeling relief by the end of the very first day. They do feel a little strange at first, because the bump is quite firm against the bottom of your foot (especially the first couple of days when it is in pain and tender) but you get used to it after a few days of wearing them consistently.I actually hoped that I would be able to graduate to the standard inserts after these became comfortable, like going from a light rub to a deep tissue massage for my foot. I got to the point where I could wear the gel inserts in my shoes and walk around all day & I felt a little to no pain! When I switched to the more firm inserts, although they have the same shape, for some reason it just irritated that tendon and it was not as comfortable for my foot. Switched back to the gel ones, and that pain was relieved again. I will not say that my issues are completely resolved from using these, but they definitely make a difference and I can definitely tell the difference when I'm not wearing them. They work best in my tennis shoes, and my feet still seem to hurt if I wear some of my other pairs of shoes, with the insert but they are pretty easy to switch from one pair to another and try.Obviously these will not work for everyone, but I would definitely recommend giving them a try, and if one doesn't work, maybe try the other...obviously there is some kind of difference despite them seeming almost exactly alike, because one hurts my foot and the other helps the pain. My only issue with these is that they seem to wear out fairly quickly. It could be because I wear them all day every day, and they are softer material. But in my opinion, they are definitely worth the money for the relief that they have offered for my specific situation.

Good arch support, not helpful for heel pain
Did not help my heel pain. The arch support feels very comfortable and I love that it doesn't move around in the shoe, but it wasn't helpful for my heels. I ended up in more pain after wearing it for 10 days days straight, but I won't pinpoint it to this product. It could be that I was on my feet more than usual.
