WEN 28200 Universal Dust Extractor Hose, 4-Inch x 10-Feet

It is a dust collector hose. It is better quality than most I have found.

The product worked we'll and cut easily. It is PVC reinforced - no wire, making it easy to curve. The only issue I have with it is, it has a strong plastic odor that takes a while to dissipate.

This hose sucks but in the case of what the product is that's actually a good thing. I'm getting great air flow through this hose and at first I thought I was going to need to cut it down because it's kind of a short run less than 10 ft but this hose kind of just bunches together unless pulled, so that it wasn't even necessary to cut it and it's still getting great flow. It looks good and feels high quality.

This hose is a good buy if you are looking for certain features.The hose itself is a soft, more flexible vinyl which is why some of the complaints are about the hose collapsing on itself. When the air is turned on, the spiral chord that is woven in (which is like upholstery ribbing is also made of plastic) doesn't have the bounce back like steel to keep the hose extended. In on of my pictures I have my old hose that has a steel wire spiraled inside a tougher PVC jacket (the one I am holding) you can see the segments are farther apart and if you try to squish it together, the steel will bounce back and fully extend it. If you are having this hose as a long lead coming off a solid pipe to your machine, I would try to have a short run to avoid the collapsing. However, if you are running this hose on the ground it is great for the fact it will collapse and save some space, and you wont trip over it.So depending on what you need from your dust collection hose know this is a lightweight VERY flexible hose and not as rigid as something with a steel wire.As a final note, the smell.... its plastic... if you are buying a plastic tube and are offended by the smell of new plastic then not sure what to tell you. The smell is a solid 3 of 10. After opening the box in my garage it mildly smelt like a new car and can barely notice it next to all the wood in my shop. Wen Tools have unconventional hose outlet sizes. I've tried several different adapters to go from a WEN 6524 Oscillating Belt and Spindle Sander and WEN Band Saw with Stand, 10-Inch, 3.5-Amp, Two-Speed (BA3962) to a 6.0 hp Ridgid Shop Vac. This is the first adapter that has worked for all 3 tools. It's just a shame that one has to buy the whole set to only use one of the 4 adapters.

All of these 4” dust collector hoses are too small diameter for any of the 4” fittings. I was able to make the “Wen” brand fit with much effort, only because the coil is made of plastic, not metal. If the inside diameter was 1/8” larger, they would fit like older 4” hoses I have.

this is just like any other one but the prices is a lot less. i use this for exhust for a laser and if i purchase other brands i get the same thing but pay 3 time the prices.

Has multiple size adapters and just what I needed for my electric planer that shoots wood all over the place. Hooks right up to my shop vac now. Much needed!
