KitchenAid is the best
KitchenAid is quality. For my braising pan and enamel coated items, I need to use something that wont scratch them up. These work perfect, rust resistant and dishwasher safe.Nice feature is that they lock so you can close them up and put them away in a drawer.

Love these tongs. Heavy duty, well made, lock securely, useful size, plus my favorite color.
The media could not be loaded. I recently bought 9" tongs, that turned out to be light weight, jiggled at the hinge, and just plain looked to be cheaply made. The tongs were less expensive than some, but, here again, you get what you pay for. So, I decided to look for another set.I found this set of KitchenAid tongs that, at 10.25", was a bit longer than I wanted, but I know the KitchenAid brand offers quality. I bought them and am so glad I did. The quality between these tongs and the ones I bought previously was night and day. This set of tongs is heavy duty, well made, the lock works well, and the hinge is secure. Since I hand wash my tongs, I expect this set will last for a very long time and this set is now my most used tongs. I use them to turn brochettes, chicken, and other foods on my Ninja grill, and use them to remove food from my air fryer oven. Although I initially was looking for 9" tongs, I am finding I like this length better since it keeps my hand a bit further from the heat.I have added a video on the differences between a cheap set of tongs and a high quality set such as this one. You won't generally find this information in reviews or product descriptions, and it's likely most people don't even notice their tongs don't completely close to hold food. They just wonder why their food fell out of the tongs. I would definitely recommend this set of tongs vs. the less expensive ones. Saving a couple of dollars just isn't worth the headaches of trying to use an inferior product.I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update my review is my opinion changes.

Very well made for a good price, nice stainless steel
Everything you could ask for from a pair of kitchen tongs. My old stainless steel tongs are very flimsy and they don't have a very terrific grip. They can get twisted very easily and they probably cost about $4.99 25 years ago. These tongs are about twice as hefty and the tong part is very nicely scalloped and can pick up a lot with NO twisting. The only thing that was weird at first is that the stainless steel on the handle is so smoothly polished that it was hard to grip. I have unusually super soft skin on my hands so I figured that a normal person would not have this problem. Once my hands got a little messy from the steak I was trying to turn I had all the friction I needed and they didn't slip after that.

NOT 12” Tongs as advertised
These are not the 12” tongs, even when that’s what I ordered. Other than that, they’re good and sturdy tongs that get the job done. Just slighted I didn’t get what I thought I was getting

The benchmark in silicone-tipped kitchen tongs
Amazon has dozens of look-alike stainless tongs, some even with no-scratch tips in silicone or nylon. Unless you’ve actually handled a set of Kitchen Aid tongs, they all will seem basically alike. We’d always used OXO kitchen utensils and had thought that OXO generally went the added distance to produce at least slightly higher-quality items than all the items from lesser-known brands. But we just happened to order this set of tongs from Kitchen Aid rather than OXO.The Kitchen Aid tongs are dramatically higher quality than our OXO tongs. The Kitchen Aid tongs are heavier-duty stainless steel; they are more precise; the locking mechanism works better; the silicone tips grip as well as tongs with metal tips (which is usually not the case), and of course don’t scratch our cookware. Plus lots of non-scratch tongs are nylon tipped, which can melt. These are silicone which won’t.It may seem absurd to speak in superlatives when talking about a set of kitchen tongs; but it’s always more pleasant to use good tools, and these tongs are the ne plus ultra of their category.Congratulations to Kitchen Aid for making a pedestrian item like tongs so much better. If you notice and care about quality and if you like to use better rather than average tools in the kitchen, these are the tongs you’ll want.

Better product
Replacement for tongs with the silicone handle. Much, much better! Heavier, well made and more durable. Would buy the smaller size as well if it became available. Kitchen Aid is the way to go on this one.
