I've owned one of these irons for twenty years and sit still works great.

Wanted cordless solder that heats up quick, and my search lead me to this brand. Have only used it once so far to re-solder wires to circuit board. The quality of the solder felt good, heats up quicker than corded solder. The plastic case has a heat shield so you can place the solder back into the case if you wanted. This kit does come with safety cap to cover the tip and prevent accidentally ignition. Overall happy and would recommend getting this brand. I got this kit when it was about 30% off.

Nice iron heats very rapidly, good quality tip all stored in a storage case which keeps everything together.The max temperature is great for soldering EC5,3 Deans plugs etc. I have got countless soldering irons that just won't heat the cable on an ESC or lipo battery fast enough to get a nice joint. This iron does it effortlessly.

SO convenient and simple to use. Honestly, if you do any amount of soldering, especially in odd locations, you can not beat having a cordless option. Also, it sets heat shrink great.

I do a lot of 3D printing and electronics projects. This soldering iron (really a multi-tool in my opinion) is well built and beats the pants off my old soldering iron. I've used it a lot since I got it and it hasn't failed to light nor been unable to do the task I put to it. Excellent product.
