Need to add extra fibre
Great product, taken readily by my guinea pig, but after a while started mixing in some critical care for extra fibre which has improved his stoole, plus some mashed healthy guinea pig poo to improve gut biome!

Life save (literally!)
Used this for my tortoise when we was sick with pneumonia and not eating. We nearly lost her. Whe use this to replace her food when she wasn't eating and to supplement her food when she started to eat again. She had a tube fitted and this is what we used to feed her. She has stopped having it now and more thay a year on from her illness she is healthy and doing well

Great for guinea pig weight gain
My guinea pig is recovering from jaw surgery and had lost a lot of weight because of it. This has helped him so much putting the weight back on. I don't even have to use a syringe for him to take it, so it must taste good.

Not suitable for a Chinchilla
My chinchilla loves this but had to bin it as he was rapidly loosing weight no matter how much of this we gave him, his poops were small and distorted. I have changed to grinding his pellets instead which not only would have saved us a fortune if wed done this in the beginning, he loves this even more, is now gaining weight and his poops are much healthier. So I’d say if your pet doesn’t require a high fibre diet, this is great, just not for chinchillas

Go to intensive care food for my hamsters
Arrived in good time. This is the go to intensive care food I use when my hams 🐹 are poorly and off their food a bit. Used in a quantity mix herbivore and omnivore varieties on vet consultation. This is palatable and easy for little tummy’s to digest.

Tasty for pigs and a must for pig owners
I first heard about emeraid through my vet, who was a rabbit specialist and therefore generally pretty good with guineas. My 6 year old pig was put on this to help give him all the nutrients he needed, as he was losing weight.A relief knowing you can help keep their guts going and give them all the nutrients they need if they are poorly.I currently have three further boys, all who love the taste (I sometimes use it as a treat if I have an open bag of it, so they are not wary of a new food if they ever become sick). They lap it up! Much better than critical care, but my new vet (at the RVC, very good with exotics) has suggested that mixing these sorts of foods is fine in order to find something that works for your animal.Just make sure you have a large syringe for it and make sure you know how much to be giving a pig per day, and get the right consistency. I believe its around 40ml per day for an adult male pig, if they are still eating but need a boost.
