One of the greatest D-Pads of all time. With compromises.
One of the best D-Pads in the business in terms of overall feeling and precision. Although they're lacking in extra buttons for labbing functionality. These will perform well in any offline event....provided you have an adapter

The Best Fightpad Still on the Market
I've been playing fighting games for over 30 years now, and for six-button fighting games, I've always been a fightpad user. This is, hands down, the best one still on the market. A lot of the reviews here mention the build quality and diagonal sensitivity as potential drawbacks of this controller, but as long as you're not the type of gamer who regularly throws or abuses their controllers, you'll be fine. It's not so fragile that it'll break through casual use.The d-pad's diagonal sensitivity depends on whether you're using d-pad or left analog stick mode. If you don't like the diagonal sensitivity, switch modes and your problem will be solved. I booted up Killer Instinct 2013 to test the precision of this controller ('cuz that game really requires you to have precise, clean inputs), and I have yet to get a misinput that felt like it wasn't my fault. The reason you should choose this model over the Hori Fighting Commander OCTA is that the OCTA's shoulder buttons are so close together, it's almost impossible to not fat-finger them half the time. The shoulder buttons on this controller are perfectly spaced so you won't run into that issue. Get the OCTA if you use analog, though, as it's octagonal gate is a must if you are, and don't want to use a Gamecube controller or the frankly overpriced and undercooked Razr Raion (the diagonal sensitivity on that controller's so bad, you can't reliably block low).

Great for fighting games on nintendo switch!!!
The media could not be loaded. I know it isn't a wireless controller and the prettiest design, but in my opinion, specially for fighting games, I don't like to have any delays... this controller is very accurate and precise, no delays at all, the curved D-pad and fatty bottoms gives you good comfort and confidence!!! I also played games like tetris99 that needs to be very precise and it was great!!! If you are looking for accuracy and fast respond controller, this is the one!!!

A solid, affordable fightpad with one glaring flaw.
Pros:- The d-pad is excellent. I fell in love with Hori d-pads after using the one on the Split Pad Compact, and the one on this controller is pretty much identical in quality. The rounded edges all the way around are comfortable for my thumb, and the pad is just incredibly solid (almost as if it was overengineered for durability).- The controller is comfortable to hold. It has some nice bulk to it.- The face buttons don't feel premium, but they feel good enough and are responsive.Cons:- The shoulder and trigger buttons feel ridiculously cheap -- like Fisher Price cheap.- There's nothing to this controller beyond basic functionality. No rumble, gyro, etc., and it's very lightweight as a result. That's probably to be expected at this price point, though.Basically, the d-pad is the selling point for this controller. It's great for fighting games and side-scrolling platformers. As long as you're not too bothered by the appallingly cheap feel of the shoulder and trigger buttons, I think you'll like this controller just fine.

Master Your Fighting Games with Precision
The HORI Nintendo Switch Fighting Commander, officially licensed by Nintendo, has revolutionized my fighting game experience, particularly in Tekken 7. The controller's design allows for effortless finger movement across different buttons, enabling me to execute advanced moves with exceptional precision. Complex techniques like Mishima electrics, once challenging to perform, have become significantly easier thanks to the controller's intuitive layout. It is undoubtedly the ultimate choice for fighting game enthusiasts who prefer a controller over an arcade stick. With the HORI Nintendo Switch Fighting Commander, you can take your skills to the next level and dominate the virtual fighting arena.

Absolutely horrible
Horrible. Probably the most anti ergonomic controller Ive ever had the displeasure of buying.Hori was at one time a premium name of quality. Compared to 8 bit dos controller this thing is ancient and no better than a brick. Steer clear of this thing if you prioritize quality and form over looks. Sadly this thing has neither. You want a comfortable controller for pretty much everything? Go 8 bit do. Waste of 30 bucks

Worse than the other Fighting Commanders, still better than OCTA
Bought this the other day to replace my slowly dying original Fighting Commander Xbox One version (the white one) and despite being the same form-factor, it feels exponentially worse. Tried to run a few games of Street Fighter 6 but the d-pad was consistently skipping diagonal inputs and double presses of the face button (for EX/OD moves) were registering the second button press late and thus dropping any combos I was trying to do.Can't believe this is the only classic Fighting Commander still available on the market, because it's the worst of the originals by far, but if I really had to choose between this and an OCTA, it's this any day. OCTA is truly a travesty, I don't know how that thing even made it out of QA.

Nice one!
I liked that it is comfortable and has a good grip. It's functional, and for fighting video games, it's incredible. I would buy it again.
