Fantastic!
This game is FANTASTIC in every aspect, providing hours of endless fun and adrenaline rushing excitement. The wake-up games, high/mid/low mixups, sidesteps/movements, the bound system, and just the general gameplay has been intricately woven to form a masterpiece. The Tekken franchise have simply delivered with each addition to its series and this is by no means an exception. While it is true that we do not see a vast jump in terms of graphical prowess as seen in each iteration of previous Tekken games, the gameplay has by far received an enormous revamp while still keeping the familiar aspects of its previous bretheren, Tekken 5: DR. To the average, inexperienced and casual Tekkenier, such changes go by unnoticed, however, seasoned veterans of the series will discover the enormous steps forward Namco has taken to elevate the Tekken experience. While keeping its familiar arial juggles, movements, and the general game pace, it has put into addition a new systems that completely revolutionarize the series. The bound system for additional combo damage and increased wall carry, the rage system for clutch comebacks, 6 additional playable characters with vastly different martial arts style, and destructable environments that opens up new stages. Such additions is an exciting change to hardcore fans as it opens up whole new strategies and a plethora of options.Yet, with all the exciting additions to the series, the sad truth is that the casual market, and even "professional" gaming websites, fail to see its achievements and merits. Its become rather trendy to denounce Tekken 6 as a "Tekken 5 game with -slightly- improved graphics". It is true that the Tekken franchise have come a long way since its first iteration, and while it has been known to have excellent graphics for its generation and push its consoles to the limits, such is not a key determinant factor in judging a "fighting" genre. What's ironic is that for a fighter, Tekken 6 still offers GREAT graphics. Its character models are detailed and the environments are lush and vibrant. While not on par with recent hit releases such as Uncharted 2, Tekken 6 is in my opinion, the best in the graphical department that any fighting genre has to offer.Admittedly, it is a fact that Tekken did not see a huge upgrade Street Fighter IV received in terms of graphics, but such expectations are unwarranted. In economics we see that the growth rate of developing countries are several times higher than that of the United States. Such logic applies here as well. The Tekken franchise was already pushing the consoles hardware to its limits (albeit, T5:DR could have ran on the PS2), and so naturally it won't see the leaps and bounds Street Fighter received. In conclusion, the game is by far the best "Tekken" in the franchise and is a must-buy for any fans of the series. While many casual fans of the previous iterations may feel skeptical in purchasing the game, give this a whirl and try delving deep into its mechanics... you'll be in for a surprising treat.

Complete package !
I had been tekken fan since tekken 2 release in ps1. The series always provide the best graphic and CGI movie for the genre, It seem like they did delievery, but definite not perfect. First they downgrade the resolution graphic from 720p (arcade) to about 500 some p for console. Is notice bit less sharp than arcade version, don't know the whole reason could be they wanted keep 25gb disk, anyway. the game is complage package it has all the previous tekken character and more other fighting game keep all the roster plus old, usualyl cut corner like street figher iv or king of fighter xii. The game is about the same but definite they add some more heavy flash attack. The new custom make the game last long time, consider take lots of time to unlock customs. good thing they had all the full roster out of the box, which is good idea to take the game to friend house, unlike street fighter iv, saved game can't even transfer only few chracter out of the box. not to mention cost like $20 for the little custom selection. Gameplay is not match with street fighter iv but depend definite tekken 6 take some used to it and the combine move take long time to master. The sound is decent and depend on stage, i think mortal kombat vs dc has the best sound for fighting game due to 7.1 and more clear dialogue and musiuc. Tekken 6 CGI is easily the best for fighting i ever see, and definite can rival many other game cgi as well, but is short that cut into many ending for each character, some of thsoe cgi are definite breathtaking and funny. This game is well worth your money, since unlike other genre charge you more for those missing feature, tekken 6 has just about everything you need, wish they include some mini game.

Just One Minor Thing
Finally a Tekken in HD. This game has everything, the best graphics to date, one of the biggest rosters since Tekken Tag Tournament, several new and different styles of characters, upgraded moves, a huge customizable section to modify your favorite character, online and offline modes. A great buy and well worth it. It'll put Virtua Fighter and Soul Calibur to shame among the Next-Gen 3D fighting games. The only thing I have to complain about is a minor thing. There's no story mode. No "classic" story mode. I'm used to picking a character, watching a beginning story, playing though all the opponents up until I beat the boss and then watching the final ending movie for the character I picked. Not in this game. The only story mode that you can pick right off the bat is the Scenario Campaign mode, in which you play through a set story mode in the old "Tekken Force" manner. Tekken Force being a somewhat 3rd Person View brawler. Think Fighting Force or Streets of Rage. Now I only played this game for about 3-4 hours so maybe I've yet to unlock any additional modes but for what the game is, I have no regrets buying it. I know Tekken 6 will be taking up time inside my PS3 for weeks to come.
