Nice for a daily puzzle
I like doing 5 of these a day. The pieces fit well on the playing surface and I like how compact the cards and pieces fit in the box. The little drawer for the plastic polyominoes works well. I think the puzzles provide enough challenge for an adult. I think younger kids under 10 may get frustrated and give up or lose the pieces.

Fun!
This is a fun little portable game that I am using to help get off the phone. I like that it is portable and was especially fun on a longgggg road trip.

Great family game, even my 5 year old likes to play!
Our family loves this game and we play it often. I worried my 5 year old would have a hard time, but she plays something similar on her tablet, so I thought I'd try. My 5yr old and 11yr old loved this game. There is a healthy competition and at times our 5yr old even wins. I'd say if your younger ones like puzzles, give it a chance. Some player cards seem easier than others so we rotate our cards every round to make it fair. There are two sides to each card, 3 piece and 4 piece. We use the 4 piece side as the final round as a challenge. The game is pretty straight forward; roll the dice to locate what pieces to use. Turn over the timer and arrange the shapes to cover all squares. The gems each have a value of 1-4 points to keep track of scoring. As there are 4 of us, each player gets a gem, the value based off who completed theirs first. The pieces are made of very sturdy card board and the cards are of good card stock also. This game will last a long time! A bag comes to store the gems and 4 plastic bags to hold each set of pieces. This makes it easy to begin as each person gets a card and a plastic bag of pieces. There are so many cards which will ensure constant replay ability.

Wonderful game! Only disappointment is that everything is cardboard
This game is a lot of fun and my family enjoys playing it together. The timed aspect makes it interesting and my 5-year-old is often making it on the 3-piece challenges. My only complaint is that everything is made from cardboard, which I can see getting soft after several games with snacks. Fortunately, the cardboard is pretty thick.

Great game for families and classrooms!
This game is a new favorite among my students, the neighborhood kids, and our adult friends! Players compete with time and each other to fit Tetris-type pieces into a puzzle shapes. It's challenging, but very fun! A complete game of 9 rounds takes about 25-30 minutes to finish. In addition to the challenge of completing the puzzles, players collect gems of different values to achieve the greatest number of points by the end of round 9. While being first to solve a puzzle in a round is an advantage, this system allows any player to become the winner. Even the youngest players in our games could compete and find success. Ubongo is perfect for family game nights! If using in a classroom setting, Thames and Kosmos offer suggested lesson ideas, some of which even encourage students to creatively design unique versions of the game. This is a great game that encourages problem solving and persistence. It develops number sense and is super fun to play! It has quickly become the most requested game among my students and my family.

A Family Favorite
My adult niece introduced me to this game and I had to have it. It was addicting, and frustrating, and fun all at the same time. Trying to figure out how the pieces can be played on each board makes your brain work and being on the timer really adds to the excitement. Sometimes we all get stumped but we love to play. Our 8 year old son struggles a bit, since the timer isn't very long and this is kind of a complex brain game but he tries and does get some of them. My 10 year old nephew did a little better, and my 14 year old niece rocked this game. So it is family friendly, with older kids, and it is a whole lot of fun.
