Q: Say I take a piss in it, would it be able to clean that?

The LARQ Bottle is designed as a self-cleaning bottle for Water. The maker does not recommend using it for other beverages. If you do end up putting sugary drinks, tea or coffee or pee in your bottle, hand wash it after each use with warm soapy water.

Q: Does this filter the water same as a Britta filter would?

Thank you for reaching you, I would be happy to clarify this for you! The LARQ Bottle is not a water filter, however, the UV-C LED technology inside LARQ has been tested by independent third-party labs and is effective against various germs, including E.coli, Salmonella, Staph, and MSRA. It will not impact heavy metals, chemicals, fluoride, or minerals and does not have a filter so we do recommend that the water be clear to the eye. Hope that helps!

Great question! tea bags are completely fine to use with the LARQ bottle, and will not damage the bottle itself in any way. However, it may impact the efficacy results since LARQ uses a line of sight technology and the tea bags may prohibit the UV-C LED from reaching certain areas of the bottle. Also, if you are using the LARQ Bottle with tea, we would recommend hand washing it after each use. Hope that helps!
