Going from three to five stars
I was pleased that the lug wrench came early because I needed it to rotate my tires. The unit looked good coming out of its handy case, but came with no instructions. When I went to use it, it made a coarse grinding sound and I thought it would break before the first lug nut was loosened. Before trying the next lug nut I generously oiled the unit where the shafts come out and it worked somewhat better. On the third lug nut I more accurately positioned the unit so it operated more straight on and that worked best, but there was still a lot of friction and grinding noise and it was hard to turn even after the lug nut came loose. At this point, I was only going to give the unit three stars.I was sure I could improve the performance of this tool, so I took off one side of the tool and found the three screws that held the cap to be very loose. When the cap was off I could see some very bad machining of the shaft's center bearing surface and no grease there (and little in the unit). I cleaned up the shaft's center bearing surface by putting the shaft in an electric drill motor (to simulate a lathe) and used a fine file to smooth it. I then generously greased the unit, paying careful attention to the center bearing surface on the shaft and inside the cap. I tightened down the cap's screws properly and then did the same operation to the other side. I then went back to my car.For the other wheels on my car, I positioned the tool directly in line with the lug nut and started to turn counter clockwise. I was gratified by how smoothly and effortlessly the tool loosened the remaining lug nuts. The unit went from three stars to five stars by doing this simple finishing work (that should have done at the factory). If you are incapable of doing what I did, perhaps you should leave taking off stuck lug nuts to garages with powerful impact tools and not try to do it yourself with these kinds of hand tools.Over the years there have been several occasions where I, or people that I've stopped to help, have needed a tool like this. Just lately we couldn't get the lug nuts off a large horse trailer, so the owner had to drive very slowly the 15 miles into town on a flat tire. This handy tool, in its convenient case, will be with me in my car or my truck for those kinds of emergencies from now on.

Worth every penny!!
I am not joking when I say, "I would not have gotten the lugs off without it"! The night before I tried using a lug wrench, battery impact gun and a socket wrench with a cheater bar, ALL to no evail. So I went looking on Amazon for help. I saw this product, and like always read the reviews. One review that suggested to grease the gears before using, so that is what I did. I followed the instructions, and began using. (I actually did not expect it to work, and expected to break at least on lug.) It took some effort but nothing went wrong. All the lugs came off without snapping any lugs. This tool was pushed really hard, held up well and got the job done! I am satisfied and would recommend it to anyone.

Works but can damange wheel lug hole in rims
The device works as advertised:1) Compact, easy to fit in trunk and is self-contained, needs nothing2) Works on 17, 19 and 21mm lugs with 6pt socket. 19mm = 3/4" and so these will likely fit SAE lugs on US vehicles3) Actually does produce monster torque to break loose stubborn lugs. All 20 of my lugs were were verified 450-500+ lb-ft required to break loose (my weight standing on end of 2 ft breaker bar *and pulling down on fender* to loosen)Negatives:1) When properly installed and starting to loosen a lug, the device will contort/pull together, twisting the stabilizing part of the tool (like a deep socket but smooth/round inside, sits on opposite lug), that "cup" will tilt sideways, contacting and exerting a lot of force on tops of the lug holes in the rim. Prob not an issue for OEM wheels by my aftermarket were tighter holes and it slightly sratched/dented top of them and left marks on the tool's cup.2) The provided handle is less than 1 ft long which required quite a bit of force to break my lugs loose. I'm a strong man so it was manageable with one arm but for petite women etc it might be very hard or not possbile without a longer barOverall worth keeping in the trunk in case you need to change your own spare or help someone else out in a jam and tire shop mega torqued lugs are a problem. But, honestly, I found it quicker just to stand on my 2 ft bbreaker bar from Amazon and that broke the lugs loose just fine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001222378?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Poor quality
I had high hopes for this product, but it didn’t meet my expectations. The support arm bent under normal use, and the nut/socket kept slipping, which led to a painful busted knuckle. The build quality isn’t as sturdy as I expected, making it unreliable for serious tasks. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re using it for very light-duty work.

Great tool to help my kids
My kids need alittle help torque wise loosening the lugnuts because they are hard when shops use the air ratchets. I got one for both son and daughter just incase. Ease of use (videos online with how to). Great functionality with increased torque and good value for the money.
