The tin I received was full of product. Some reviews said it was near empty. I’m glad I bought this when I did because it was needed to plug a small leak on my barrel. I cured my barrel for 6 days and yet it still leaked from the front band when the plug was pulled. The wax stopped the leak.

Works to to leaks in my aging barrels as advertised

Overall, this did what it needed to do. I have a Thousand Oaks 5L aging barrel. It is one of three barrels I own from various companies. The Thousand Oaks barrel is the only barrel that has never fully sealed. I gave their wax a try and it did the trick, but it also discolored the surface of the barrel and took 3/4 of the can to get the barrel to fully seal. It is finally sealed and has not leaked after about two months of aging a product.

It made a big difference for the small barrel I had, reducing the loss.

I like the convenience of the can. It sets underneath my barrel, and I'm able to catch the leaks early.

I have a new 2L and a new 5L oak barrel for finishing white dog distillate in, and both leaked horribly during the initial soak in phase. After 3 days of pretty decent leaks (over 3 oz and 6 oz respectively) I thought I'd give this a try. Holy moly - I used it with my finger to gently push into the crease of the staves where I noticed leaking, and the wax held. I also heated up some wax with a flame and used a small paint brush to work it in around the barrel head/stave junction, and the leaks stopped! This stuff is a life saver - I'll give the angels their share, but I'm not giving up what I can control. Super impressed with this product.

Had a leak in a Solera barrel end, pressed it in, sealed quite well!

Bought a 2 liter barrel that continued leaking after 4 days of soaking. Leak was not visible so was coming from under the staves. Tried the wax and did not resolve the issue.Moral is if you buy an new barrel and it does not seal with the soaking just return it for a new one and don't waste you time and money trying this.May be worth trying if you have an older barrel that starts leaking to save that but can't comment on that.
