Works with my Rainbird drip system
These adjustable sprinkler heads, adjust by turning the round head to control the amount of water that is dripped out. They Come with a puncher that punches the right size hole in the drip tubing to insert the sprinkler head. It is Barbed So that it does not come out easily. However, if you make a mistake and don’t want it in that position, you can remove it. Of course, at that point you would want to put in a Goof Plug to plug the hole. You might need to pick up a package of those because they’re good to have on hand. The idea behind the adjustable sprinkler head is that each adjustment represents a certain amount of water that can be delivered and that spot per hour and those ratings can be found on websites and rainbird.com as far as how that works.I haven’t gotten into the specific of all of that yet, However , the idea behind it is this: Plants have different water needs. Tomatoes require a larger amount of water than perhaps peppers or flowers. You can find that information online. So, with the drip system, you can adjust that sprinkler head by that plant to deliver the specific amount of water that Plant needs and the Next can be adjusted to the needs of the next plant. It allows you to be very specific to not over or under water. From my purposes, I am planting a garden with beds of same plantings. So that water need is consistent. When I do my foundation planting at my house, I will begin to implement these specifics and I’m pretty excited to be able to do that.Only does it ensure your plants will get the proper amount of water, it also helps you to conserve water and not pay for what you don’t need.At first, the thought of setting up the strip system seemed overwhelming. But after I relaxed a minute and just started reading about it getting on the Rainbird site and getting my hands on the pieces to understand what Their role is in the system, I realized it’s incredibly easy.I also highly recommend YouTube before you begin.

Price was great, test before putting in tubing
This was the best price I found at time of ordering. The product functions well but a small percentage of the emitters are stuck and do not turn open or closed. Do yourself a favor and test this before you push it into your tube!! Otherwise have a pair of pliers near at hand to wrestle them back out. Despite this these are still a great value.

I love these things. They’re very easy to install and seem to be quite durable. I installed them five months ago and they haven’t clogged up.

Just Okay
You get what you pay for. When first installed, they are great. After a couple of weeks they get clogged up and you have to manually adjust the heads again to get them to flow. I have found I need to check each one and repeat this process every couple of weeks.

Save a bundle (both on the parts, labor and wasted water) with these!
Perfect fit for my drip irrigation system!Where I live (in the Mojave desert) water is precious so we conserve as much as possible. These let you control the exact rate of flow from your hoses and position the water where it does the most good.I bought these because, after many years of service, some of the original ones were clogged with dirt or calcium build-up and no longer worked. This type of drip-head are easy to install, but nearly impossible to remove (which is good, because you don't want the water pressure popping them off!) So, when replacing the old ones, just use a pair of scissors to cut the old heads off (as close to the old head as possible) and push these into the tube.I didn't think I'd ever need 100, but they are such a great value that I would have come out ahead even if I had only used 20 of them. It allowed me to go around the yard and replace each old head, regardless of whether or not it had already failed. So, I should be good to go for years!
