Beautiful all rounder paper
I like everything about this paper. It works with many media, not just watercolour. Graphite is amazing on this, as is colour pencil and acrylic. This is my go to paper for most drawings and water based paints. Wish there were more stars than 5.

Excellent quality!
This is excellent quality paper for watercolor. I think next time I'll get cold press for the texture.

Reasonable budget product
As long as you don’t expect too much from this paper then I would recommend it. It doesn’t stand too much heavy scrubbing. No where near the standard of more expensive papers from this company but it is more than good enough for simple work and sketches.

Good medium for cyanotype prints
I have tried so many different paper products looking for one most suitable for cyanotype prints. Many manufactures boast that their material is acid free but I'm yet to find one that states it's also alkali free. Greater than pH7 destroys cyanotype prints - they simply wash off the surface. This paper has given the best results for my alternative photographic process to date.

It doesn't feel like 300gsm
Quite thinner than the normal arches paper I have purchased in the past, considered it is suppose to be 300gsm? It left me confused, it the same made and same product but this one is less quality? Perhaps because it is on the sale? I would rather pay the full price next purchase, if it means I would get the usual 300gsm arches paper. The paper is good but not what it say to be 300gsm,

Superb hot pressed paper
I love this paper with a passion. Ive tried so many in the past, but this one is fantastic and has become a staple for me. Makes my watercolours look as if they are glowing almost, and its Wonder for getting soft effects. I chose this also because you can use coloured pencil in top smoothly. Takes ink and wash well, and doesnt nick or fray when erased on a lot. Of course you shouldnt erase too much anyway but this paper is rather forgiving when it comes to getting that under sketch just right! There's something about the way it absorbs watercolor too thats just magic. Worth every penny. If you havent tried arches before its a definate must try. Suits me wondefully.

The gold standard
I have tried other cotton watercolor papers, but none compare favorably to Arches. I prefer the hot press variety for the precision I can achieve with graphite, pen and ink, watercolor and gouache. Expensive. I hate having to spend so much, but, like the Windsor and Newton watercolors and goauche I use on this paper, Arches has never, ever proven anything less than superb in terms of quality.

What can I say, I've found my perfect 100% cotton hot press watercolour paper. There is a bit of a knack getting enough water on the paper I've found if you paint the area with water, as normal, then go back in and dab the paper with tiny drops of water again, from the tip of your brush, then you can see the water spreading all over the area you previously wet, leaving a sheen. Previous to this method you cant see where you painted the water at all, and its not wet enough. Hope that helps others.

Made in France ...Cocoric...eau!
