Exactly What I Was Expecting
The packaging was very “Harry Potter”. That was mostly what I was going for. The ratio of gross flavors to delicious ones was slightly off, but here’s my thought process on this; You buy these BECAUSE of the weird or gross flavored beans. You WANT to be unpleasantly surprised by earwax, dirt, or vomit. The flavors were EXTREMELY accurate. Dirt tasted like dirt; and everything tasted how it should and as how you would expect (the Vomit flavor and Egg were toned down!).Overall, I would say that the marketing team and product R&D did an amazing job creating an experience for people to enjoy. If you have children or, in my case, are throwing an HP themed Birthday for their wife then these are perfect. I would highly recommend. I also felt that the price of these was more than fair for the product that I received. I know these are more expensive than regular jelly bellies, but you are paying for the experience and I would say the product delivered.I would maybe recommend not going crazy when purchasing these. We had a hard time finishing what I had purchased. I would probably order a third or even half of your order if you’re planning to share. If these are for individuals, then I’d say one box each would be sufficient.I don’t know if the seller of these also sells the Harry Potter Gummy Slugs, but those are also an excellent product, and are an incredible bargain. I would consider those as well, and also Sherbert Lemon candies, which you can also find if you look around.

Delectably Disgusting
True to it's name, Bertie Bott's beans have many flavours. Some with personal experience, the beans taste mostly like what they claim to be. Booger, dirt, vomit, soap, etc, are VILE. The other, good flavours are just typical Jelly Bellies. They are great as a gift/surprise to any Harry Potter fan, especially now that you can't find them in stores (I remember buying them at Target in 2004). I bought theses to go along with a copy of the Philosopher's Stone (and chocolate frogs) as a Christmas gift to a friend who has, surprisingly, never read/seen Harry Potter before. However, they are somewhat expensive, as another review noted. Each box contains about 30 beans tops for about $3.50 a box. Also, there aren't as many flavours as I remember from almost a decade ago. There's about 20 flavours as compared to over 30 of the old beans. Still great though - the surviving flavours only got better.

Well, I mean, it is called "Every Flavor Beans"
First, I bought these for my mother, who is a big Harry Potter fan and they elicited the hoped-for laughter when she opened them. She thought they were really cute. The package I bought came in a square hard paper bowl-like thing, like something you'd get a to-go order in at a ball game - big enough to hold a couple of hotdogs and a small fries. The jelly beans themselves are in small boxes wrapped in cellophane, like little cigarette boxes. A couple of these were dented from being transported in the paper to-go bowl with nothing but another cellophane bag to keep them in place. When she opened the first box, I jokingly told her I hope she didn't get a bogey flavored one, and as she grimaced upon tasting the first one, she said, "It's rotten egg!"I tried one, and sure enough, there's the bogey flavored one. The next one was not good, either. I tried reading the flavors that run up and down the skinny sides of the carton, but the print is so small it's hard to read. I tried a couple more...one was spaghetti flavor, I think. But four beans in and none of them good, I tapped out. It was fun enough trying to guess, but they actually tasted kind of gross.I suppose these will be cute for kids who love Harry Potter - maybe they can pick through them and find the cinnamon flavor and butter beer flavor, but I won't be buying them again.
