One of the Very Best!
This olive oil taste so good, I keep looking for the Asaro name on the bottle. Delicious sipping oil. It has the hallmark Sicilian oil characteristics (beautiful aroma, buttery up front, and a strong peppery finish). All of these good Sicilian oils seem to share these qualities. I think it is the olives (Nocellara del Balice) and the sulfuric volcanic soil. For comparison, it taste somewhat like Partanna, Frankies 457, and Asaro Organic. This is special though. I think you get what you pay for in this case.

Green Gold in a Bottle
Finally! An EVOO that tastes like the first press from an Italian grove. After spending time on the Amalfi Coast it was frustrating to find that no imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes close to what’s served in Italy, until now! I stumbled on this beautiful bottle at a global food import store and gave it a try. The flavor is like biting into a green olive, the bottle is beautiful and the bottle’s dark color protects the product so the last drop is as good as the first. And it’s available at our local Whole Foods at a much lower price! We eat salads at lunch and dinner and I’m an avid cook. Having such a superior product in my pantry is like having a secret ingredient. Everyone raves about my salads. I finish pasta, quinoa and certain veggies with a few drops of this green gold to the delight of my family and friends. Although the price point seems high it takes very little to achieve the desired flavor so it equals out. The quality and flavor can’t be beaten by other readily available brands.

The Best Tasting Olive Oil
I love the fresh fruity taste of this olive oil. Pouring it over my caprese, veggies, salad, or dipping bread into it.

Great Oil with Some Earthy Quality
It has a distinct note of banana peel balanced with a little hints of tomato and grass. It's got some earthy quality due to the banana peel flavor and also its cloudy appearance. It even has some sediments on the bottom, but it's not a problem. Fragrance and taste almost exactly match together, plus a remaining hint of apple. Bitterness and spiciness are medium high and the spiciness lasts long. Fruitiness is 6/10, bitterness 7/10, and spiciness 8/10, and my personal rating is 94/100. The flavor has a little haunting quality. But this oil got gradually softer after about a month and has lost some of its intensity, probably due to its sediments, which is a minus. Without that intensity, it might not sustain its own justification. My personal rating policy is, 5 stars for 96 and up, 4 stars for 93~95, 3 stars for 90~92, 2 stars for 85~90 and 1 star for 84 and below.

No returns for a leaking bottle!
My evoo arrived today. I actually like this product and have purchased it many times in the past but I just realized I can’t return this even though it is leaking, sticky and unusable. If I just didn’t like the product, I would understand no refund but this is a defective product and it ain’t cheap!

The olive oil is the best.
The shipper needs to seal the bottles better as there always is some leakage.
