If you're like me you searched up and down Amazon for a Blacksmith/Bladesmith tong set that wasn't too expensive and had consistent reviews. This set should be what you are looking for!The tongs came in a single box, individually wrapped, with no rust or scratches/cracks, and in good condition. Upon inspection, the open and close friction was a little stiff but after a use or two they seemed to move easier. There was no side to side play on any of the tongs and the rivets seemed properly set. Each set of tongs is substantial, but not too heavy... with absolutely no flex.For reference, please see my photos with a piece of 1075 Blade Stock - 3/16" x 1.5" x 18". When the tongs are closed on a piece of material, the required hand-pressure is very minimal and comfortable for this standard stock size. You should be able to work for a long time without getting fatigue that comes with tongs that are too far apart when squeezing.If you intend on making knives, you might want to supplement this set with a pair of appropriately sized box jaw tongs.The prime price is about what you'd pay for buying import tongs + shipping from a blacksmith dealer.Hope this helps!

The more round one was a bit too big for railroad spikes unlike what it showed in the pictures but that was an easy fix just by heating it up and bending them down a little bit other than that they work great and I've had no issues out of them I just wish they were a little longer in the handle

They are pretty decent but need adjusting to get them to work correctly.

This is an excellent set of tongs. They needed a little adjustment to fit the stock I was working with but a little heating and hammering the worked perfectly. They are good heavy tongs that can take abuse. They are long enough to keep your hands away from the heat and give you the clamping pressure on the work piece.

Fantastic tools for the price point. I’ve been existing with just a flat pair for years and finally decided on these. The versatility is a great addition to my forge.

They hold hot metal very well. I wish they were a little longer but some good welding gloves and these tongs get the job done.

My son and I received our forging tongs and upon inspection we found one set with a cracked tong. Another 2 tongs were very loose. We heated up the rivet and fixed them. We would not recommend this product to anyone who wants a quality product! Look at other products!!!!
