Good Wifi router
I purchaed this mainly to have better wifi and parent controls and i'm not disappointed. My router was a Hitron Chita (Virgin) which is a good modem, but the wifi isn't that good and parent controls are non-existent (Keyword filters don't work). I setup this device with ease and with just 1 unit I get wifi across the whole house (3 floors). The parent controls are very good, even with the free option, you can set up each child and link all thier devices with a content filters and wifi switch off time for each child. One this to remember is that you can't run two different wifi devices at the sametime as they tend to conflict. I had to turn off the RG function (in Hitron Chita) in the router settings to turn off the wifi (luckly most the ethernet ports still work), as some devices would not access the internet(or was very slow) although they connected. Also, as the Deco doesn't spllt 2.5g/5g on seperate connections, you can force your PC to prefer the 5g connection to make sure you have good speeds. All in all, I'm very happy with it.

Excellent mesh
My house is thin but long and I had an existing pack of 3 X20’s which served me well, however found a weak spot at the back of the house.I hadn’t registered there was an issue at first because the signal was strong, however due to placement it was a strong but poor quality signal.Repositioning the new node in the middle of the house has fixed the issue. These are excellent value for money and address the issues that a lot of the ‘free’ routers ISP’s provide seem to have. When you throw in the free virus protection and ease of configurability they are a really excellent buy.

Excellent, have been waiting for something like this for ages!!!
I have a 1GB fiber connection in another room and the only way to get the full speed is to use an ethernet cable directly in the Router, which is a pain as I have to unplug my laptop from the monitor and Hub and leave it downloading in the other room.I've tried all the alternatives, wired Ethernet through electricity cables, wifi6 on the Amazon eero and TP link Archer but the M1 Max Macbook Wifi6 simply doesn't work and 5G was faster. So as soon as Wifi6e became available I got a couple of these Deco, note you cannot use with TP Link Archer system as I've tried, I now have one in the room wired to the Fiber router, and one in my office downstairs wired into my laptop via ethernet, because the M1 Macbook doesn't support Wifi6e, as you can see the Deco blends into the surroundings perfectly. I've attached an image of the speed I'm getting and note I'm also getting around 450mbps on my Iphone 13. It also means with the Mesh Network, I'm getting a strong signal in all the rooms. Highly Highly recommended.

Good mesh if you get it right.
Cons: I wish it was more modular / easier to mount on wall. Not keen on the lan ports in a vertical row as the cables tend to pull the unit backwards esp if they're thick cables.Review: I originally bought 3 pack deco s4 but found that I only needed 2 for a small house and the s4 wasn't upto replacing by bt smarthub 2 so I sent those back and bought the xe75 pro as my main and a x60 as my 2nd unit. This worked much better but much more expensive. Wish I had bought 2 xe75's as a pack as they could both use the WiFi 6e to communicate. The xe75pro is a good deco unit with the 2.5gb wan / lan port for future use when broadband goes above the 1gb speed.I get good WiFi signals and the 1.7 quad core cpu does a good job sorting my 60 + smart devices. I have 30+ smart plugs and bulbs and the xe75pro keeps everything working. No problems with my smart plugs only connecting to the 2.4ghz WiFi and they do this automatically without intervention from me unlike the bt smarthub 2.I use the xe75pro as a router rather than an extender/access point and the x60 as a mesh unit. The deco app works well. Since replacing the 3 pack s4's with xe75pro and x60 I don't get the "deco unit is offline" I had before. This happened alot with the s4's.I do still get the number off devices connected jumping around in the app tho. Some devices are stated as not connected when they are. The deco app can show 30 devices connected and then suddenly show 20 without anything changing with the actual devices. I think this needs sorting to be honest as it may put people off buying or may send the deco back for no real reason. The xe75pro has WiFi 6e for mainly future devices but can use it as a backhaul with another WiFi 6e deco or for all devices and changed in the app.Overall happy, just not keen of the shape when used with lan / wan cables.

Reliable and informative
Comes with a. Greta app that tells you what’s connected, which might surprise you.Super reliable, great signal, have not once had to ‘reboot’ it. Have connected it via cable to our main router, but this unit could plug into the fibre and completely be a router in its own right. We use it mainly as an extender, which is probably overkill , but it works so well.Getting 600-800 Mbs from it on my old phone and laptops.

Used product?
Whilst this review is not of the product itself, it is annoying to be sent something listed as "new" which had been removed from the manufacturers packaging and shoved into a plain white box - without all the supplied cabling I might add. I was suspicious of this as soon as it was delivered as it appeared in a plain while box with no branding. Assuming it is reconditioned but not declared. Returned item without even plugging in.
