Great seat for comfort but it’s falling apart already. EDIT: Seat was replaced, very happy!
**EDIT: the seller reached out and replaced the seat! Very, very happy with their customer service and response to my issue!Very disappointed in this seat. Bought 2 and while I love them for comfort, one of the seats is falling apart. The bikes were safely stored in our garage from late October until recently and there are some stitches that have broken and it’s falling apart! Could not find a way to reach out to the seller, though I don’t think it would have mattered because I bought it at the end of September.

Helped me stay on the bike for longer
It’s not absolute perfection, but it did help. The seat is hard, so while the extra width helps pressure points from being as bad, it could REALLY use some soft padding, like a gel layer. Since this seat is a really unusual size a shape, I can’t find any gel covers that fit it, so I’m stuck without for now. I hope the company comes out with a gel cover, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. We had to tighten it to within an inch of its life. The instructions boldly warn you not to over-tighten, but… let’s be real, this seat helps heavy people, and both my husband and I (completely different weights/heights) could not get the seat to stay in one position on what felt tight enough at installation. We had to re-tighten like 6 or 7 times, and finally had to get a real tool and not just the little metal thing that came with it, because the amount we had to tighten could not be done without more leverage and a real handle on a real tool.Luckily, nothing broke, and it’s tight enough now to stop leaning back when we sit up - but it was pretty annoying for our first sessions to be spent getting off and tightening it over and over, worried we will break it.All that said - I’m very glad I got this seat. The seat that came with our bike was not for people even slightly fat - it was excruciating to use for both of us. We immediately bought a wider seat “for fat people” that helped my husband somewhat, but not me. We then bought a gel cushion cover, and at that point that was good enough for my husband to stay on the bike for 20min, but it was still literally intolerable for me. I could sit on it gingerly for maybe 30 seconds before I was in too much pain to manage. So I just didn’t ride for years. Finally I was sick of not using the bike I had spent good money on, and decided to roll the dice on this suuuuper wide seat, after reading the reviews. Now, I can ride for 15-20min. It’s still uncomfortable, but it’s not intolerable like before. So, not perfect, but nonetheless a huge improvement. The bar was low, but this seat really does make a difference. Like I said, a gel cushion cover would go a LONG way to letting me ride for a significant amount of time. So, overall I do recommend this seat- it won’t perform miracles, but it will help a lot if your current seat is too painful because of your weight.

Great Seat!
Love this seat! It was recommended by another 3-trike rider. Very soft and love the reflective material on the edges. Arrived quickly and was packaged well! Thank you!

My Peloton experience
If you’re like me, and was hoping to find a generously padded seat like this one to relieve the discomfort to tender parts when riding your Peloton, think again. This is NOT it! Some reviews stated this seat didn’t fit a Peloton, however it absolutely does fit but you have to follow the instructions that are included (or watch the video) on how to do it. It was very simple to switch the original seat for this one. Unfortunately, that is where my experience goes south. Spin bikes have a very small seat profile, however this seat is so wide that there is nothing to support the outer edge of the seat, so it’s not supportive at all. It took me a long while to position this seat exactly where I wanted it so that it wasn’t sloped to downward causing me to slide off the seat, or too upward which caused pressure and discomfort in the pelvic region. After getting the seat in just the right position I realized it was just too large to enable the rider to efficiently peddle. The seat was literally an obstacle/impediment to being able to peddle the bike at any cadence (especially faster speeds). Furthermore because of the bulkiness between the legs, the seat rubbed my groin a lot causing additional discomfort (and near chaffing). In short, the bulkiness of the seat kept getting in the way of me being able to complete peddle rotations, so I finally had to remove it and return the original Peloton seat. You’d be better off purchasing a padded gel cover to ride in greater comfort, and learning how to position yourself on the regular seat in order to be comfortable. Yes, it's possible and I am NOT a small person at the moment! The best thing to do is to google search how to ride a Peloton/spin bike without discomfort. There’s a technique you should use (which nobody bothers to mention when you purchase one of these) to make riding your spin bike more comfortable on the delicate bits. I learned the technique after an internet search where a more experienced rider described how to use your core to position your lower body correctly on the seat so it won't be painful to ride. Basically, while seated use your core to pull your pelvic bone so it rotates upward toward the lower ribs. You kinda curl your body into a bit of a "C" shape to protect your pelvic floor from making full contact with the seat as you ride. It worked perfectly and now I can even ride twice a day without discomfort! Play with the up/down rotation/movement using your core to stabilize your pelvic floor on the bike until you find the most comfortable position. Good luck to all! This large seat may be best used for a casual cruise on a slower bike, but definitely NOT for a road bike or stationary spin bike!
