Flawless Product
Purchased for my son. Reviewed all the similar products and finally selected this one and am very glad I did. Performs flawlessly in every respect. From the reviews I was concerned of the ease of assembly, the noise, and the possible lack of satisfactory resistance. He called me up and suggested I review this product as it has fulfilled his needs very well and is excellent is every respect. He advised that upon delivery he assembled the bike, (a 26' Raleigh off road bike), without using a single tool. The only adjustment necessary was the tension knob to set it at the resistance level desired. He first had too much tension on it and was able to easily back it off finding the correct tension that would allow shifting of gears to provide the complete range of tension desired. The noise issue in negligible. He said it is no different than riding the bike down the street. One factor that may have assisted in this regard is that in some reviews it reported that normal knobby tires made more noise than smooth tires. He has special tires that are smooth on the middle of the tread but have he knobby pattern around the edges. The purpose being that you get a smooth road ride but when turning or sinking into soft earth the knobs dig in and it is the best of both worlds. As previously noted once the tension is set on the device you can easily go from free wheeling to hard resistance pedaling like climbing a hill. The bike gears provide the tension desired just as being on the street. In summary, he cannot recommend this product more highly. Just to have him call and recommend I make a favorable review speaks volumes and he usually cannot care less of such reviews.

Great trainer for someone just trying to get some exercise indoors
I am not a cyclist. I just have a bike that I would like to use indoors this winter. I got this model on sale and am extremely happy with it. It is a tiny bit noisy considering how small the actual resistance device is, but it is not nearly as bad as any cheap, self-powered exercise equipment I have ever owned. Once I fixed the few issues I found with my bike, setting it up was easy and it works well. I also didn't realize that I had 28" tires, and though the product is not designed for it, it JUST fits within millimeters, so it worked out.

Good but not great
The axel that comes with the trainer is only for geared bikes - I wanted ot keep my gear bike at a different location and hooked up a single gear back with the pedal break for the trainer - it doesn't fit right but it is functional. The trainer is alittle loud, sounding like a fan and I have ot double hte volume on my TV to hear it while I ride but it's not so loud that you can hear it in the room below me, and to be considered I listen to the TV very low to begin with.It seems well made and Ive had no problems with constructionA little trouble with shipping when I received the wrong item but it was corrected quickly

good product with high quality parts
I actually had to return mine since it was not able to accommodate my rather rear wheel (check your dimensions before buying), but I wanted to share my otherwise positive opinion about this product. It seems to be very sturdy and well-made. Parts are high-quality. Note that the tension adjustment will require getting off the bike to readjust.

Not a lot of peddling force required
Pros: Seems well made and even though it's not stated, It works fine on my old road bike with threaded axle nuts with no quick release.Cons: it offers almost no peddling resistance. After a half hour at 1hz. peddling in top gear, I'm more bored than tired, and I'm an old fat guy. The only adjustment is the tension of the load device against the tire which really does not increase resistance, it just distorts the tire.

The systems itself was great and easy to put together and I am sure ...
Somewhere easier to see it should be stated that this should only be used with road bikes. I purchased it to use indoors with my mountain bike and it was just god awful loud. I did read the reviews and some people said it was loud and others said it wasn't and you never know what to believe. The systems itself was great and easy to put together and I am sure that if I had smooth road tires it wouldn't have been nearly as bad. But this is just not for mountain bike, knobby tires.

Good Inexpensive Trainer
I bought this trainer for my new cheap huffy bike. I was looking for a good, cheap (that didn't cost as much as my bike), reliable trainer, so I decided to give this a go.The trainer arrived in a big box, and inside of that box was another box, and then the "real box" with the trainer inside (hey It was fun, like those russian dolls). The unit feels sturdy, and of good quality but it's not super bulky at all. Quality of construction is good, and it was fairly easy to set-it up even with no prior experience or checking out the instructions.I tried with the bicycle and it made a little of noise and vibration as expected, but not a big deal. It's more likely to be my problem because I have laminated floors at home, and they transmit every single noise/vibration.I have yet to try it with a rubber mat and see how it works.Overral, not a bad deal at all!

Idk
Idk how many stars to give this.Set up was simple, its seems sturdy enough. I am 230lbs, 5' 10" and it is difficult getting my leg over the frame now, its too high up.The resistance device is extremely loud, like 200 decibels of sawing thru cardboard! Idk that ill be able to enjoy this at all due to the noise level.
