Brilliant watch all the information I wanted was on the watch

I don't normally write reviews. But here goes. When I first got the watch the battery life was good, it tracked and recorded well to the app. No problems, I was really enjoying the watch. Just over the year, problems started. The battery started discharging over night without warning. I followed the step by step guide on the Garmin website, unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. I contacted Garmin, who at first were very helpful, said it was a software problem and offered to replace the watch. As there was no lilac, they said I could choose my replacement colour but to respond to their email first, which I did. No response. I chased them up, still no response and again and again. I went on the return's form on my account and noticed that they were going to replace my watch with a refurbished one AND still in lilac..... At no point during my conversation with Garmin that they said they would replace with a re-certified watch. This got me thinking about how many returns they must have in order to replace watches with refurbished/recertified watch. In the meantime and still not heard from Garmin, my watch has got worse in that it is now discharges during an activity. For the money that you spend on a Garmin you would expect it to last longer than a year. Consider buying another brand. It is a shame, but there you go.

Got this in March 2024. It’s nov November. I’ve already had it replaced due to dodgy elevation tracking. 2nd watch is no better. It’s sometimes double the elevation out. It’s slow to connect to GPS. My running partner has the same watch but not the solar model. We can run together and get totally different elevations. Now garmin are offering me a 2nd hang item as this is no longer in stock. And to add to it customer service is aweful!

This watch was fantastic when it was new. It’s now 15 months old, it will not fully charge and has become unreliable and shuts down in the middle of an activity. I have emailed and messaged Garmin and do not seem to get any response. On googling, this seems to be a common fault with this watch. Don’t waste your money on it.

Just out of warranty and it keeps turning itself off. I've tried all the suggested fixes but to no avail. Typical Garmin support, just not interested in being helpful. Wouldn't buy again. Do not recommend.
