Perfect functionality for me
The media could not be loaded. I love that I can just pop these in a backpack, along with some telescoping hiking poles & snowboard boots. I used them for the first time during my recent trip up to Big Bear, and considering the fact that they just reported this month to have been the snowiest Feb in over 20 years (LOTS of powder/TONZ of slush) I got 2 full days shredding greens & blues and I’m not nearly as sore as I normally would be using traditional skis. The biggest PRO for me personally is the fact that I could get them with snowboard boot bindings, because in my over 20 years of skiing/boarding I have yet to find a ski boot that doesn’t cause my feet to be in agonizing pain (I wear a 13 Wide). On the flip side, the biggest CON for me isn’t something that can really be rectified. When you start to gain real speed using these and then suddenly hit a slushy patch, or an icy patch that has been indented with boot prints, snowmobile tracks, or any kind of exposed dirt, mud, gravel etc…there’s no way to keep from being violently pitched forward. It’s unlike any sort of fall you’d experience with regular skis or on a snowboard, or even with skates since that takes place on a level plane. The 2 times it happened were SO sudden and I ate “it” so hardcore….both times there were people rushing over to make sure I was alive. Thankfully I was wearing a helmet and there was powder to soften the impact.

Excited
I am so excited to hit the slopes with these. Little black envelope came with instructions on how to use them out there. They really set you up for success with the little book.

Good.
It fits me having relatively small foot (9). But It may be a little small for big foot.

Really awesome, agile, fun! Try them! You have to!
I have been snowblading (short skis) for 20+ years, and this year decided to go even shorter, so tried the ski skates! They are a lot of fun! I used them about 15 days this season! This year I introduced my 4 year old to skiing and the ski skates were very easy to ride while holding my son on a “leash” 6 feet in front of me going on green and blue trails. The ski skates are so short they allow for very agile movements, which were crucial in getting around my son falling 6 feet in front of me lol! They are great on packed and icy conditions, think New Jersey mountains! They do not work well on powder for obvious design reasons - you just sink (tried off pieste and had to walk back up). Oh and talk about walking, since they are so short walking in them is super easy, many times I would forget to unclip them. They are great as a second pair of skis/different experience. If you plan to only invest in one pair of skis then I would recommend going a little longer and opting for snowblades or regular skis as ski skates are limited in powder conditions. Unless of course you live in New Jersey where it’s always packed and icy haha!Take the adventure! Try them out! You won’t regret it!

High quality, fun alternative to skiing
We were looking for a way to get my husband out on the slopes with us when I stumbled upon these. He’d had too many bad experiences with skiing and wasn’t all that interested in snowboarding, loves rollerblading and playing hockey so we figured these would be a good fit. He only got the chance to try them once before warm weather ended the season, it took him a little while to get the feel for it, but he had fun. The were easy to adjust to his climbing boots and I’ll be able to try them with my ski boots too. They’re high quality and easy to just grab and go. We’re looking forward to getting more use out of them next winter!

Don’t fit well for size indicated, can’t use them for any kind of skiing
They work on ice with poles for me a little.

Super fun
I love these. They are made so well. I guess my only complaint is that they are still a bit hard to use.I used them to ski with my daughter on her leash as she’s still learning to ski. Her leash is what finally gave me momentum to go down the hill. I’m sure with a few more uses I hope it’ll be easier to move. Aside from walking halfway down the bunny slopes, I loved them. Super easy to just put on and go!
