Excellent, high-quality product
These replacement cane seats are great … have had these Breuer chairs for many years. The frames and backs are fine; only the seats have needed to be replaced every five or six years due to daily wear and tear. My husband used a power screw driver to attach the seats to the frames. These seat replacements have pre-drilled holes that make this easy enough to accomplish (and my husband is not that "handy"). I recall that there was a time when we had to replace the existing screws which were worn. It would be fabulous if the chair company would provide the screws or suggest which screws to use … don't know if they do … am very happy w/this purchase. These seat replacements look great; they are strong, sturdy, and comfortable.

Somewhat difficult to install.
For some crazy reason the manufacturer only places dimples in the chair to align screws instead of drilling holes. It took a while to get everything aligned. You need two people to put the screws in. Once installed it fit perfectly in the 50 year old frame.

Our chair replacement seats arrived ahead of time. They are exactly as described and took not time at all to install.

adequate replacement
The pre drilled holes for the screws were improperly drilled. I had to re-drill holes so the seat could be attached to the frame. Otherwise the new seat is fine.

Do not buy! Seat crumbled at first use.
Terrible quality. The seat (caned area) literally crumbled at the first use.I would have given zero stars if there were that option.You will regret buying it.

Original seats lasted 15 years, replacements - 2 to 5 years.
The Breuer replacement seats have not lasted well at all. Adult use, not kids sanding on them or jumping on them. Caning lasted a little over 2 years for one chair and now at 5 years old, 2 more have broken caning. This is a case on NOT getting what I paid for. BE VERY AWARE!

Check manufacturers before ordering
The chair seat is of exceptional quality. I also appreciated the excellent service. However, the seat did not fit and I will be returning it. My table and chairs are over 40 years old and may be replicas and not original Breuer.
