YES the oil bleach is better than the powder because protect the hair from drying out and does lighten the hair BETTER THAN THE POWERED PRODUCTS I've been using Super Blue for over 20 years, I've tried so many different brands, and honestly Super Blue is the best product around..I recommend it 100%!!!

Q: What are the Ingredients in the oil component? I got too close to the bottle and inhaled some. It smelled like super strong ammonia.

The warning on the box says: "This product contains persulfates and other ingredients, which may cause serious irritant, respiratory and/or allergic reactions. Do not inhale or ingest. Prepare and use in well-ventilated area. If affected by inhalation, move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, get medical attention."

Yes I just used this product for that exact purpose it removed the dye to a blond. I kept it on for 1hr but I have a LOT of hair and it's long.
