This one REALLY works! AND I'm not deprived of foods I really love!
This book has been a lifesaver for me. I've tried pretty much all the diets out there, including Atkins and even as far as have the L & Y gastric bypass with results for awhile, then rebounding. I've found a plan I can definitely work with for the rest of my life and still enjoy the foods I love, plus go to special events and not feel guilty and not gain weight. I was skeptical at first about being able to eat anything I want once a day for an hour along with a balanced meal,,,,but tried it,,, and am continued to be surprised when I step on the scale every morning!! Try this plan, it works, and you can live with it.

Much Needed Addition to Authors body of work
I find this new addition to the Heller's body of work in the low carb war a must read. I have used the previous books in the past and found them to quite informative. I lost 20 pounds using the heller's method. Never had I successfully lost weight on any other plan (Carbohydrate Lifespan Program). With the 7 Day Recovery book I found the reason for my stall in weight loss and was back losing within 48 hour. I am Type 2 diabetic and this program immediately lowered my blood sugar levels. If you are interested in the latest info on low carb living purchase this book.

Very Timely Advice
This book reveals the authors' compassion, encouragement for each person based on their own experience and superior educational background. It is presented in an easy to understand fashion. While the last 15 years have been Atkins centered, most of us find we can't stay on it for an extended period of time. The Hellers' solution is timely and sustainable. My appreciation to them has increased and I am back on track again.The Carb Addict diet for those of us that have this metabolic issue, is the perfect solution, and I am grateful they have not stopped expounding it. I started it again and feel human. I actually have not lost weight, but my cravings have stopped and I have more energy and am living my life again.Thank you so much!

Belongs on every low-carbers book shelf
Once you've fallen off the low carb wagon, getting back on track can seem a daunting task. This book offers a sensible, gradual plan for easing back into the low carb life. It worked to get me successfully into a struggle-free induction when induction was always a major challenge before. The information about hidden carbs, artifical sweeteners, and other challenges low carbers face regularly is also a great asset. I've only tried a few of the included recipes so far, but they've all been very good.

Not the same CAD
This is not the same CAD plan of yesteryear (that actually worked... well, once... you can't get similar results a second time) this one has you gradually replace your old habits of eating chocolate/whatever-your-poison with low carb options. You add food as you go, put snacks in so you do not feel deprived and work towards getting back on the new revised CAD of this decade (or perhaps it is the last decade)In any event, I bought this with the intention of trying the Heller's updated attempt at re-selling the CAD to a new generation. I never could get past the first 3 days. It was just confusing, rigid, weird and erratic.Truly, if you are going to do Low-Carb, then DO low-carb... don't buy this book as a transition. It's a waste-o-time.

I love this book
I love this book. It makes it painless to get back on any low carb plan if you fall off it. I have all their books and I hope they continue to write more and give us more information, knowledge and tips to lose fat without starving and having some cake too. (though mine is flourless lol)
