--It was very easy to install
I was looking for a magnetic paper towel rack that will help declutter my small kitchen's counter space. I am very pleasantly surprised at this towel rack. Here are some of the pros:--It was very easy to install. Just remove from the packaging, insert paper towel, and attach to metal surface. Done!--The magnets are super strong...but not too strong like other magnets, which makes them hard to reposition. This one is strong enough to withstand the motion of ripping off paper towels but also easy to reposition. I've had it facing vertically and horizontally. Both work just fine.--I'm impartial to the color red, so I'm loving this bright red color. It "pops" and is easy to spot when in desperate need of a paper towel. It goes so well against the gray side panels of my refrigerator. Also compliments my stainless steel appliances.Overall, very happy with this product. Even my picky husband likes it. Win!

Good paper towel holder - wish magnets were a little stronger.
For years I had a magnetic paper towel holder that I loved. When I moved it must have gotten jostled or next to another magnet and it lost some of it's magnetism so I went looking for a replacement only to discover that I couldn't find my paper towel holder anywhere. After some research, I went with this one as a replacement. It works pretty well, but the magnets are not as strong as my old one was. Sometimes when I grab a paper towel quickly one of the magnets will come off the fridge and the paper towel roll will fall. Because it's two independent pieces, unlike my old one, one of the magnets also sometimes twists and drops the roll. As long as we're careful when we pull paper towels off, though, it works well and I love having the paper towels on my fridge rather than taking up counter space or screwed into a wall.

Great product, strong magnets...will last forever
I'm using this inside a yard truck, moving semi-trailers all day. I need paper towels handy to keep the mirrors, windows and cab clean in rainy, snowy or dusty conditions. It's attached to an area of flat, painted steel inside the cab, and I was worried before I received it that the magnets may not handle all the bumps and the rough ride, but it never moves at all and keeps the proper tension on the towels so they don't unroll on their own. (You can put as much or as little tension on the roll as you want by moving one side of the mount closer or farther from the other, and the magnets hold it where you put it.)Good, sturdy product that will easily last a lifetime under any version of "normal" conditions.

I really like this two piece paper towel holder
I really like this two piece paper towel holder. I have metal cabinets in my kitchen and the magnets hold really really well. I do wish it held the mega rolls easier. You have to use several rounds before they fit. But it still deserves the 5 stars.edited to add - After using this for a few weeks I've come to realize that this is a wonderful invention and one of the bestest ideas every. When I put on a full roll of the Mega size it takes a few rounds for it to roll off the holder easily, but as the roll is used up you can slide the two pieces a bit closer together to keep the roll from unrolling too fast. Since we have an all metal kitchen I'm going to get another for the other side of the room.Other reviews mention that the magnets aren't very strong. I haven't had that problem at all. If anything it's a bit of a challenge to move the things around, but I know for sure that they won't fall off!

CAUTION: Product gives off a strong toxic odor
I had been wanting a paper towel holder for some time now, but I was hesitant to buy one because I live in an apartment and didn't want to put something up that required screws. However, after I knocked my roll of paper towels on the floor yet again, I finally decided to make this purchase.I was particularly enthused by its design: separate pieces that allows the product to accommodate rolls of different lengths and it attaches to a surface via magnets. No assembly required. Plus, it's a fetching red color. Festive!I was disappointed, however, upon opening the box. Why? The chemical odor of the glue used to attach the magnets to (i) their plastic sleeves and (ii) to the metal holder pieces themselves was so strong that I though someone had opened a bottle of glue (not Elmer's -- more the type that requires a special permit and a gas mask to handle) or lighter fluid or toxic waste under my nose. Foul, foul, foul and kind of scary. And just from handling the item, the smell came off on my hands and would not wash off easily. I suppose this would be fine in an industrial setting, but it was not suitable for my kitchen (or any enclosed space). So, I fiddled with the magnets to see if there was something that I could do. Lo and behold, the adhesive used doesn't even work very well. I was able to pull the magnets from the metal backing of the holder with my hands and strip the plastic sleeves from the magnets. I soaked everything overnight in 91% rubbing alcohol. This loosened the gunk a bit (the next day, the rubbing alcohol smelled foul and had turned yellow). But the "fun" had only started. To strip the gunk away completely, I had to scrub each piece with a toothbrush while periodically rinsing under hot water. After about two hours of labor, everything was pretty clean. I am sure there is a better way to strip the glue from this, but rubbing alcohol is about the strongest thing I had on hand. (I wore gloves; even so, a bit of the odor made its way through those!) There's still a residual smell, but nothing like before.Because of the odor issue, I would NOT recommend this product for use in the home or any non-industrial setting. And the worst part is that there's NO reason I can see to even use the glue to begin with. The magnets stay in their plastic sheaths without the glue, and the magnets (duh!) stick to the metal holder pieces just fine. I wish the manufacturer would simply dispense with the glue altogether -- then it would be a top notch product and one that I could enthusiastically recommend. Everything else about this product is as advertised.

Awesome! Just what I was looking for. Great for my small apartment kitchen.
Update 2/26/18: Functions perfectly after 7 months of use, the magnets are still securely glued to the metal and there are no signs of wear. It has been dropped a few times and still survived!Works perfectly, and isn't flimsy. There is a strong chemical/glue smell when you first take it out of the package, but I threw it up on the side of my fridge and haven't noticed the odor at all. Great product, this is the best paper towel rack ever invented.
