This is your start into astronomy adventure
From telescopic mobile lenses I moved to my first proper telescope for beginners . My choice was this OYS telescope mainly because I did not want to spend a lot of money . The telescope came packed very nicely , with a backpack , all elements neatly striped and secured to prevent any damage during the transport. I was very excited and could not wait to try my begginers journey into night sky objects . It was easy to assemble this telescope . To calibrate the little scope took a little patience because you need to be precise but once you catch the planet in the cross , you get good visual in the mine telescope field. You get 2 lenses , 10mm and 20mm so you can manipulate the magnification as you please . The tripod could he better because if you use 20 mm lenses and want to do magnification and correct sharpness of the picture , you move the main tube backwards and that changes the balance of the telescope and tripod becomes shakey . So the best would be either buy better tripod or use some little weights on the front . Once I stabilized the telescope I set it up for Jupiter . I have to say this , I had great moment of OMG ! I was very exited because I could see the 4 moons of Jupiter and it was kinda hard to believe . I called for my froend to check it out because I was not sure of I really see them or if it was just my imagination ! I did see them and I could not talk about anything else for the whole week just about how incredible it was to see Jupiter's moons ! My first astronomical " discovery " . I also knew that moment , that I want better telescope , more powerful because I want to see all the secrets of the night sky ! But it will take time as more powerful telescopes costs much more . Summarizing this review , this is excellent choice for beginners as it does not cost fortune and you do can see planets and moon . This is the good choice as introduction to astronomy but remember that the great close ups pictures of planets you see on Google come from biggest telescopes in the world not home telescopes . It is important to mention that because hoping to see the same will only disappoint you and might end your solar journey too soon and you will really miss a lot of joy . Home telescopes will give you pleasure to see amazing things just on little less scale but they will nevertheless and this telescope is great start . After seeing your first Jupiter's moon , you will want to see more .

Great bit of kit
A great little beginner telescope, exactly what I wanted. I've tested this out in the daytime and the image quality is brilliant. The telescope comes with a little rucksack with compartments purpose built to help carry and protect it. The manual was easy to follow and had me set up and using it for the first time within half an hour. I haven't yet used it at night on the moon but the manual does offer some tips on how to do that. Many reviews here complain about the flimsy tripod. It is a lightweight one but it does support the telescope. My feeling is that it is intentionally lightweight as the tripod collapses down and actually fits in the backpack too. I have a much sturdier one I am using for the telescope and will repurpose the one with the product for camera use, which it is perfect for. I did find the tripods built in spirit level useful though as on first use you need to align the viewfinder. The telescope itself is a decent, thick and weighty bit of kit. Honestly, for the price I paid I am very pleased with it and hope to get years of use out of it for me and my daughter.

Great Telescope
Brilliant telescope and great value. Perfect for the beginner astronomer as not complicated to set up. Clear pictures of the moon. Easily stores in backpack that it comes with, with plenty room for extra accessories (lenses etc.)

Scope is good, the tripod is useless
I must start by saying that the image I managed to see of the moon was great. Unfortunately, the tripod is the f no use for making the tiny adjustments required to aim at a celestial object. Whatever I did with the bolts used to tighten the direction it was pointing, it was almost impossible to aim it with it springing back to the previous position or jumping forward past what you are trying to look at. The moon is very easy to aim at, yet with this, it is isn't. The tripod is designed for cameras or other applications where tiny adjustments are not required. The only way I can see this working is by replacing the tripod with a purpose built one. Why'd you do that though when it comes with one? Sent it back after 1.5 hours spent trying to look at the moon and actually aim at a star....( Star was not possible).Probably great for bird watchers or other close up sort code f viewing, but astronomy, no.Such a shame as I really wanted this to be good after reading the reviews. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

Great little telescope
Great telescope for beginners. Easy to assemble and very portable. Tripod can be amended to different heights and even used on a table. Comes with a backpack too which is good for travelling. Clear pictures of the moon - you can see the details really clearly however the phone holder is a little difficult to work so haven’t been able to take a photo as yet. My Son loves it!
