It is whisper quiet in it's movement, can hear virtually nothing over the cooling fans, which also are nearly inaudible with music playing. The scanners barely make a sound compared to another multi beam laser product I own from a competitor. The laser scanners patterns are crisp and diverse, you can switch between several pre-designated groups based on your preference. Very wide field of view for laser scanners, decent speed, great that it uses standard 3 prong power and has DMX capability for remote control and grouping.The less good, the included power cord is almost uselessly short unless you have ceiling mounted outlets for a fixed install, but being a standard 3 prong pc style connector, it is easy to find longer ones for not much money. It doesn't have a power switch, it is just on when plugged in, the fans do not stop, so unless you want to constantly plug and unplug the unit, I would suggest putting it on a smart outlet, bonus, now Alexa can turn it on and off. The bracket to hang isn't as long as I would like, flush mounting to a ceiling limits your vertical angle to about 60 degrees with the power cord, so you can't point it straight down which limits placement a degree. While the lasers are pretty bright, the pattern projector eyes in the middle are dull by comparison, I have seen better spread, brighter results, and more diverse patturns from much less expensive products. The field of view is pretty narrow on most of the effects, some have a wide angle, but brightness falls off sharply as well when it uses them. The red for me is almost completely over powered, but I have issues with red light, and this would be improved with haze, so I don't really blame the unit for it's poor red. Red on most things isn't that great. It's a bonus, but get this for the laser effects as a primary, and you shouldn't be disappointed. An IR remote would be useful for those who don't want to deal with a DMX configuration, but it seems to retain last settings used on power off most of the time, but not always, sometimes it didn't, make sure the rear controls are easily accessible if you don't plan to run a DMX console. Fortunately, beginner DMX consoles are very affordable and I will likely be adding one, and a hazer for smoke to my setup soon. The user manual is sparse and doesn't completely cover the functions of the unit in much detail, and while tech support is fast and friendly, they aren't providing much more help than the manual, likely due to a language barrier I suspect, fortunately, the unit is very easy to use and will give great results out of the box without needing to know much, long as your expectations are tempered. Really the only significant issue for me from an operational standpoint, now that I addressed the shortcomings with power setup, is it's sound sensitivity. Even on it's highest, I have to have the music louder then is advisable at 2 am in an apartment. For a party you're fine, but don't expect to have music on at a casual level and have the light give you some ambience. You can set it on auto so it will at least be on, truthfully it isn't all that reactive to music anyway, yes it changes patterns and rotation on beat, but it isn't like drawing waveforms or changing colors based on it, so the effect is subtle, meaning music reactive is nice, but it's almost the same experience and very enjoyable with it just on auto.I feel like the product description and videos are a perfectly adequate representation of the products capabilities, and the price is fair especially if you get it on promotion. While aspects of it's function or design are frustrating, confusing, or sub par, it excels in other area's and overall is a good buy, and still earns a 5 star rating, but it could be better. It is a great addition to a cool light setup, but will be a little lonely by itself, pick up 2 or 3 other lights so they can work together and it will give you a nice overall show.Reviewed stand alone with no DMX control or Haze effects, and I still give it a thumbs up, good value.Note about video review: the laser projections look jagged on camera due to frame rate. I should have recorded at 60 fps. In person they are smooth and clean to the naked eye.Update: 9-11-22: While everything in this review still stands true, I have since purchased other laser products. You can get competitor lasers that are FULL RGB and near identical function for same price or less if you don't want the angled design and/or pattern lights in middle. Overall considering the design and the extra function of the pattern lights, this is still a good buy, However if you want just lasers, there is better value in other products. Considering the color selection menu and language in manual, I suspect these units were full color capable and either didn't pass quality control or had a defect, or part shortage and were remarketed/branded as red/blue laser only. I'm still happy with the unit, and it's ok value especially if you catch it on sale, but shop around and consider other options depending on what features you value.P.S. the review that mentioned the blue laser stopped working, I almost wonder if they got into the color menu and switched it off accidently, which is an option, for some reason.

When I got this unit I fired it up for 15 min. standalone and was In AWE with the cool effects.I'm a beginner getting into laser units and this is my 1st and an DMX controller and a mini moving headlights bought days before I got this laser unit.Ok now lets hook up my new DMX controller and see what it can do and it was so so for 30 min.run timeI took a 2 hour break till the my Wife came home from work to show her what I bought and with the standalone unit itself without the DMX and my wife was in Awe like how my 1st impression I was Totally blown away of what I seen .BUT wait a minute I TOLD HER somethings wrong ...the green laser is not working and I just turned on this unit a 2nd time...laser dead?Still look Amazing without the green laser working but died less then 45 minutes of use? my concerns NOW are when my other 3 lasers are going to die 1 by 1 in a short life spawn.Not wroth $150 or I probably got a lemon like others and I'm really Sad.Update: 6/5/2021.I wasn't going to contact the seller because of emotions I had and test run this unit for almost a month and still like the effects besides the green laser was shot so I contacted the seller support and said have they're deepest apoligy and will replace another unit so its been so days ago and didn't get a replacement yet but in the meantime I raise from 2 to 4 stars if they come through with another unit as their support replied back in a timely matter.Update: 6/9/21.Received replacement today everything's running great I'm Happy Again and they're SUPPORT is Great!

Best quality ever!I am not a professional DJ, but I like to throw parties at my house, and I wanted some laser light going on, so I saw this product and read the reviews. I liked what I read, so I tried it and was not disappointed. Love these lights. They have very vibrant colors and designs. We love to put then outside at night and sync it with our music around the campfire. The kids love to run through the lights and everything is just better with lazers .

I bought my first one in ‘21 and fell in love with it. I am in an 80’s Hard Rock cover band, and wanted to add some BAM! to our stage show. Paired with a couple of ADJ Geysers, this did the trick! So much in fact, that I bought a second one! The unit doesn’t come with a remote, which is beyond annoying, BUT…the auto settings and sound settings are perfect, so the remote isn’t even needed, lolHIGHLY RECOMMEND this laser. I’ve actually had two venues ask me for the ordering info!
