ESV Vest Pocket New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs (TruTone, Teal)

One time in my life a Gideon Bible kept me from ending my life. If you have noticed, or care, they are becoming fewer and fewer in hotels. I use these little Bibles to put my tip in for housekeeping when I travel now. One never knows who needs it. If they don't want it, they can pass it on or trash it. We are a free country. These little Bibles just have the Psalms and Proverbs for quick read.

I bought this Bible to carry in the outside pocket of my purse to read in down time—of course I study my big Bible every morning but I like reading the words of my Lord and the Psalms frequently. I wish I could find a small OT but that would be a task I guess.The font is small as others have said but no smaller than the font I keep on my phone which I wear readers to see clearly anyway. (Yes I could make the latter’s font bigger but it would take up too much room on my small iPhone SE screen. ) I got the turquoise, my favorite color and it is pretty. I could wish the print were a bit darker and pages whiter like my Ryrie Study Bible I picked up at Goodwill—and is the reason I use that one daily instead of my Lutheran Study Bible. But it works for what it is.

I like my new pocket Bible. It's small and thin, can easily fit in one of my purse compartments. I've had it for a few months and read it frequently, have also traveled with it. It's holding up well and is high quality. The faux leather is soft but durable, and the turquoise color is bright and beautiful. For some reason reading the New Testament with this color in my periphery seems to instill a sense of peace and inspiration. I love this bible! Despite the color, the spine of the Bible makes it look classic and dignified. Overall Crossway did a remarkable job with the design of this pocket Bible, it's probably the best one on the market. This is also my first ESV Bible and I quite like it. The translation is clear and easy to understand without feeling dumbed-down, the text still maintains some of it's lyrical and historical beauty. I also like that there's no discernible bias in this translation, it's suitable for all English-speaking Christendom regardless of denomination. I would definitely give these as gifts!

Don't buy this little New Testament expecting it to be an every day reader or study Bible. Instead, it is a small shirt pocket ESV containing the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs that you can have with you everywhere you go. It appears to be rugged and well bound, yet soft and flexible and a pleasure to hold in my hands and read from. The type is small, but my old retired eyes can still read it. The pages are clear and bright. I would not sit and read long passages with this, but it is wonderful to pull out and read while waiting in line at a store, or sitting in a doctor's office. There are blank stock pages in the front and back that are perfect for recording references and notes to use when sharing Bible verses with others. I am very pleased in every way.

Cute and practical for carrying in a purse. I wear readers and don't have any trouble with the tiny print. The color is pretty and the binding/cover are high quality. This is your standard Gideon's size, but nicer cover.

This is an excellent pocket NT Bible with Psalms and Proverbs!!! I keep it in my vest all the time. Great size, but text is small…I have good eyesight though. Good quality product too.

I was so pleased with the size and color. In spite of the small size, the type is comfortable and easy to read. It fits in all my purses perfectly. So nice to have scriptures handy. I prefer to read actual pages instead of a screen.
