Welcome back analog, good by digital.
The digital thermostat that was installed by our utility at no cost several years ago, was never really of high quality. The vinyl covered flat push button screen was something out of the mid 80's it seemed. It was never very responsive, you had to really push hard on it to make any adjustments, and eventually, actually rather soon after installation, the vinyl started cracking under the pressure of where the push buttons were. Several of the buttons just stopped working all together. Luckily not the most important ones.It was always a few degrees off. And the utility had the ability to cycle it when they deemed necessary on peak usage. That always has kind of bothered me. I've known the thermostat was needing an upgrade, and obviously so did the utility. They offered a new Google thermostat for only $60.00. A pretty good price, but here's the catch, I had to sign a waiver to give the utility even more control over my usage. So I thought, man I miss that analog device, do they even still sell them. And boom, I found this Honeywell thermostat, and ordered it. It works great, and is accurate, and we have full control, at least at the thermostat level, of how we want it set.My wife likes it even more. She loves the simplicity of the old style, just point the needle where you want it, and it's done.

Great little thermostat control.
I love the simplicity and ease. Good old fashioned user friendly and fast. Do not want nor do I need any smart stuff. Just turn the furnace up if I want it up, and turn it down if I want it down with a split second nudge. It tells me the temperature and that’s all I needed. I know I’m in control and can not be shut off by someone hacking into my smart house controls and system. No 45 mins reading the directions and trying to connect it to my phone or anything else. Literally just the flick of a finger and mission accomplished.

THE BEST!!
Dome style thermostat for heat/AC & WORKS without all that crazy programming!! (I could never figure out all of those settings and I replaced that dumb digital one!) I love the Honeywell dial! So easy and it works GREAT!!!!

Great basic thermostat - owner's/installation manual virtually useless.
Replaced an old/original Honeywell 'Round' with this 2 years ago. Recently it started to act erratically, cycling on and off at frequent intervals much shorter than normal. There are no instructions on how to disassemble and - even though I noticed when installing it - nothing about replacing the battery. It takes a #2450 'button' battery and it turns out the erratic behavior was probably the result of the 'anticipator' not getting proper voltage. Replacing the battery was not a simple, straight-forward process so if you are uncomfortable opening up things, do a search and you will find several videos for guidance. The original 'Round' didn't require a battery since it drew the small amount of current needed from the HVAC unit. With a new battery - everything's working fine now.

Cheap Product- Stay Away
I had a programmable Honeywell thermostat that was working but I wanted a simple controller as I really did not need all the various day to day temperature settings. I purchased this simple Honeywell thermostat as a replacement. The new one looked to be cheaply made and of a low-quality parts. I installed the new thermostat and the AC and Fan controls worked OK The furnace would not go on though. I swapped to my original programmable control and all worked with it. I Installed the new one again (I am an electrical engineer so I pretty know what I am doing). I called the distributor tech support and a woman guided me thru the AI chat-bot. After checking a few things, she said the problem was my furnace has a voltage that is too high and I needed to call a service tech. I asked her if after paying a service tech $250 for the service call he said it was a bad thermostat would they pay for that needless call. Of course I was told no. I ordered a White-Rodgers Emerson 1F56N-444 Mechanical Heating and Cooling Thermostat, installed it and it worked great. It was Near $9 cheaper than the new Honeywell thermostat. So, stay away from this cheap product, buy a White-Rodgers one and save some time and money.

Easy to use.
I don't care for digital thermostats. Was happy to find this one to replace my old one.

Temp Controller
My thermostat started acting-up, and decided to replace it. My home Air Conditioner is an older unit without all the bells and whistles, so I just needed a basic thermostat for my unit. I looked and reviewed quite a few but most were made in "China." I found this one that was made in Mexico. Their products are made well so I chose this controller. Not disappointed, it works great and ease to install. I am quite satisfied.
