Horses For Dummies Paperback – November 19, 2019

Very good read for the novice. Information was thorough and to the point. Great job!

I have now read from several of the Dummies books and they are consistently a good starting point. I am reading Horses for Dummies because I am a volunteer at the New Hampshire SPCA, and I am learning to work with barn animals. I staff the Tack Sale on Saturdays and this book helps me to know what i am looking at. I recommend the Dummies series for any interest.

I started horse therapy and wanted a book to know more about horses. This book has some nice and educational material.

This book was a special replacement request by my granddaughter. She received a copy of an earlier edition as a gift but it got lost in a move. She’s been wanting another as her 4 boys (aged 3 to 10) have access to horses and have recently been riding and are asking all kinds of questions. The older edition was $40. The newer edition costs half that much and has been updated. It’s a good first book for horse lovers. My granddaughter got her new copy today and was thrilled.

What i wanted

Very all inclusive info on every aspect of caring for a new horse for the novice, written in a style that is clear and non-patronizing. Highly recomended!

I grew up with horses, but it was years since I had owned one. This winter, our neighbors divorced and moved and left their horse with us. At 16, he had nowhere else to go and I had been in love with him for years since he grazed our property along with the neighbors. So suddenly, I had a horse and not a lot of knowledge. The internet was a great resource but Horses for Dummies has also been a wonderful resource.
