Safe+Mate x Case-Mate - Cloth Face Mask - Washable & Reusable

I’ve tried countless masks all having one issue or another, but this mask has everything I was looking for, I’m currently making my third purchase of more of these masks to give to my coworkers. I am a bearded man and the large size fits perfectly over my beard. The soft cotton keeps the mask comfortable on the face. The filter pocket fits replacement filters perfectly. As of October 4th I’ve purchased 6 masks total and every single one has still held up through several wash cycles. It can be a little tight around the ears after a wash, but still not nearly as bad as some other masks that would actually start to give me rashes behind the ears. The large size does seem to be too big for my girlfriend, would also likely be too big for a man of my size without a beard.

Bought a 3 pack of the L/XL size, since many commented they run small. I have a 22 1/2" hat size (M/L by most hat sizing charts) as a relative face size indicator. For the 3 masks received, each is a slightly different size. The smallest fits quite snuggly, the mid-sized one fits perfectly and the largest size is a slightly looser fit. The poly/cotton blend material is very comfortable, easy to breath through, but somewhat porus/lightweight. I think the PM2.5 filter insert is needed for as long as Covid is lurking about. The filter insert does completely cover my nose and mouth when inserted properly. The back strap works well, to take pressure off the ear loops. Quality of construction seems pretty good. They fold-up nicely and easily fit in a zip lock sandwhich-size bag. I'll hand wash them in cold water and line dry them to avoid unwanted shrinkage.

I liked these face masks a lot! They cover all the way from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the chin. The removable and replaceable filter is a very nice feature though I wish the order included more of them. Only one per mask seems kind of chintzy. I liked how it fits over the back of the head and not the ears. Being able to pull down to around the neck is very convenient and seems safer, more sanitary, than having to keep putting it on and taking it off. This particular mask is for adults, too big for children.Price is reasonable.

I bought the L/XL size - it's not. It's pretty tight and, although contoured well, the elastic band around the back of you head slips low, pulling the loops down on top of your ears pretty tightly. I will make your ears a bit more prominent as it pushes them outward.The tight fit over the bridge of your nose means that you have very prominent gaps just under your eyes where, you guessed it, all your breath comes streaming out. A single exhale completely fogged over my glasses. As there is no wire to shape this mask around your nose, there's no way to prevent this fogging up badly.The filter doesn't seem to do much except add some rigidity - and the edge of it hits right under your nose. It only takes a few minutes before this is uncomfortable. The filter doesn't cover your nose, which is what most of us breathe through so it seems pointless to even use them - particularly in light of the discomfort they create.Pros: Nicely contoured, elastic strap holds it in place for active folks, looks decent, if nondescript.Cons: Can be tight, air channels created along nose make it a choice to either see or breathe for glasses wearers, is a bit too tight for me (average size head).I won't give it a single star because if you don't wear glasses and have a smaller than average head - and don't care about the filters, it could be good for you. But for me, it's useless.----Update - gave it a third star. Once you cut the elastic band, you can wear it easier. Also, although all three were supposed to be the same size, one is noticeably larger than the other and makes it much more comfortable to wear. So one out of three masks turned out to be pretty good.

I really enjoy these masks. Don't understand the negative reviews they get. I am a normal size adult male that wears a 7 3/8 fitted hat and the adult L/XL fits great. With the filter in I cannot blow at a candle. The filter could be bigger but it covers both my mouth and nostrils. If I wear it with the logo on the left side of my face, the filter will not reach my nose. When worn with the logo on the right side of my face, the filter reaches just the tip of my nose but at that point, my nostrils and mouth are covered. Dont know why I would need more coverage than that. Even with the filter in I don't find it difficult to breathe and I have asthma. The elastic is great for keeping it in place when working out and I can just leave it hanging around my neck when I dont need it on my face. Overall I am very satisfied with this mask.
