Loved it!
I bought a unique lamp from a thrift store and it was damaged in a move. The shade finally fell apart last week. After looking up how to repair it, I saw this product. It was very easy to use. It was also forgiving as I didn't lay the fabric on perfectly, and I could pull off and re-adhere. Now I'm looking to create other lamps with the remaining styrene strip.

Great product!
Made my first 3 mini lampshades with jute covering. Worked very well. It's very stiff so I didn't need metal rings for support.I had to massage the styrene a bit when creating a circle as it has lot of power to unwinds.

Handmade lampshade
Liked that it was easy to make a lampshade from. My shade had seen better days and this shade turned out beautiful. Easy to use and is holding up great.

Lamp turn out amazing. Just need a little imagination and be creative for a beautiful finish.
Very easy to use. I covered a chandelier using this product and it turned out fantastic.Only down fall for me was the diameter was 65” and the longest roll I could get without going really wide and buying unnecessary amounts, was 64”. Size purchased 10x64.I added an inch to the fabric at the end. It was ok and worked out , but would have had a better finished look had the roll came in say 10 x 70 or 72”

This was a very rewarding project artistically and financially.
I rolled it out and put books on the ends to let it uncurl for a couple of days as suggested by others. The adhesive backing adhered well and went on pretty easily, especially considering the fact that I used a heavy weight home dec fabric. I reused the rings from my old lampshades and it came out looking like a professional made it. I also purchased the double sided tape suggested by Amazon which made the project go much more smoothly than using glue would have. I was a little nervous about taking this on, but it was surprisingly easy to do.

Not worth the price
Seems to be great quality, but make sure to double check the size you’re getting.Thought I bought a much longer piece, but instead got only 40” for $40. I could have just bought two brand new lamp shades for that price! Instead, I can’t even make one. Would not recommend.

Perfect for more than standard lampshade.
I have two overhead light /vent fixtures missing plastic covers, with exposed bare bulbs. This worked beautifully. I just cut a piece with two tabs on either side, big enough so that it curves around the bulb. Saved buying a whole new fixture (as you can’t buy a replacement cover). I just left the backing on-did not cover the pieces with fabric. I ordered the smallest length and i did two fixtures and have plenty left.
