No disappointments
I replaced the fork on a new, FS "Gravity" bargain-bike with this one. It's decent/solid quality and the price makes it a home run.For hobby/enthusiast/fitness riders who like doing their thing on/in steep trails/woods, that aren't overly technical, this is perfect.Installation can be done hanging the bike on a hitch-mounted car carrier.Removal of the old fork's crown race (if planning on re-using) without the specific tool will present a challenge, but is doable. Over-all it's an awesome upgrade performance-wise for a cheaper bike. And it looks cool.If you want a serious downhill fork, buy the one that's attached to the expensive/dedicated downhill bike. For a noticable improved difference in downhill performance on your daily/weekend bike, go for it.

Would recommend.
I got the 27.5 version to turn my 26" bike into a mullet. There was no shipping damage, no manufacturer defects, the rebound and compression knobs work, and it looks great. I haven't finished the bike yet, I'll update this once I get to abuse them properly.

This product is dangerous
it is made of subpar materials. i never made it out the house thank goodness. first time trying to get down on the shocks to try them out the front wheel retainers snapped clean off and my fork dropped straight on the floor. If i had been riding this could have been really bad or lethal. This product should be banned outright until proper QC is ensured. Then when returned they charged me a $25 restocking fee for a broken item... I sure hope they dont try and resell these.

Working well so far - putting it to use on trails and urban thrashing
I'll update the review as I put it through further abuse, but so far it is not leaking or failing in any way. There's no fine-tuning, it's sort of just low medium and high options for the stiffness and rebound. Feels really good though, and I'm purposefully putting it on trial. If it keeps handling this well, it'll be the best $200 fork you can get.

Great for the price ...
What bummed me out tho was the fact that it was 2 days late.. but other than that, they do make a big difference as far as performance and the overall look of my bike(:Here's the before and after photos

Great fork at a great price
Updated an old Trek VRX 400 with all new components including this fork and converted it to electric. This fork has a ton of travel and great rebound once adjusted. Make sure you buy a special "fork pump" to get the pressure exactly right for the load. Battery, motor and my fat arse adds about 250 pounds so I pumped the fork up to 150psi. Handles the trails and the boulders like a champ. Why spend 7k on a electric mountain bike when you can convert an old warhorse for a tiny fraction of that and have a bike that's as good or better

Didn't last long
Started out good, but didn't last long. The forks have now completely seized up on me. Not used for downhill riding at all. I used mostly on dirt and gravel roads. I got caught in a rain storm, and that's when the forks started sticking. There must be a lack of waterproofing.
